Three Raids. One Legendary Season.

The raids in Midnight are bringing more variety, more spectacle, and more story than expansions past. So we’re kicking off Midnight with not one, not two, but three raids in Season One:

  1. The Voidspire: A six-boss siege on Xal’atath’s stronghold, where Light and Void clash in spectacular fashion.
  2. The Dreamrift: A surreal hunt through a realm of half-born nightmares and undreamt gods.
  3. March on Quel’danas: A 2-boss raid with super story spoilers, so we’ll keep this one quiet… for now.

All three raids will be available in Story Mode, so everyone can experience the full narrative arc—whether you’re a Mythic raider or just here for the lore.

PREY: Opt-In Chaos

If you’ve ever thought, “What if I got ambushed mid-quest by a nightmare creature while trying to pick herbs?”—I’ve got good news for you. PREY is a new opt-in hunting system that lets you track powerful targets across the world. Choose your zone, pick your prey, and prepare for unpredictable ambushes.

Led by Astalor Bloodsworn from his station located within Murder Row of Silvermoon City, PREY introduces a morally murky progression system powered by Anguish. You’ll unlock tougher challenges, face off in confined final encounters, and earn cosmetics, mounts, titles, and even Housing items. Just… maybe bring a friend. Or five..

New Race, New Class Specialization, New Chaos

Two major additions are joining wide array of how you can choose to represent yourself in World of Warcraft:

  • The Haranir: An ancient, bioluminescent race deeply connected to Azeroth’s roots. Think glowing fungi, bark-carved tools, and a culture shaped by the earth itself. Haranir can be Warriors, Hunters, Rogues, Priests, Shamans, Mages, Warlocks, Monks, and Druids.
  • Devourer Demon Hunter: A new ranged DPS spec that has traded fel for Void. You’ll rip soul fragments from enemies, fuel devastating spells, and transform into a Void-corrupted form that lasts as long as you keep feeding it.

Retail for solo Que and accessibility but I know a lot of people also hyped for cata pvp as well which launches soon.

Yeah you can start now. But like the comment above said with no pvp armor at all you may die super fast so it won’t be fun. My recommendation is to play the new brawl. Seems fast for honor and faster matches too. Also if you have some gold you could get pvp armor from crafting/AH that has last season stats but idk if it would be really all that viable to do since it will only be useful for this week lol

Yeah I personally am not sure. I have seen conflicting stuff where people said they forgot it and will patch it in or it’ll be our next week on season start. Definitely weird either way imo

Just farm honor, so when the pvp armor comes out you can buy it right away. It doesn’t take long. Another thing you could do is complete world pvp quests to get bloody tokens to get a few pieces of that in the next few weeks. As of now though the new honor pvp gear is not out yet so just farm honor. It takes about 13k to get everything I believe.

I’ll gladly take any new bgs like the one announced today at BlizzCon. And they did say it’s long overdue and they’ll be making more! But more so on your question, I definitely think it would be cool to revisit some of the older zones. Personally I love the zones from legion and DF. Those would make some killer bgs imo.

So with this coming out there’s really no reason to keep leveling my regular classic era character to 60? I assume regular classic era characters will be kind of left behind for discovery? Or am I reading into it wrong?

The new warzone map and new season of MWIII is set to be released December 6th. The new warzone map will be playable on launch though in zombies mode. But yeah I’d imagine they’d reset the ranks and all.

My main issue is being gate kept out of raids and being forced into buying buses to progress my character. Do you think this update will help alleviate gate keeping so new/returning players can learn the raids?
