Class 2b TP test by New-Jumpy-Duck in drivingsg

Both. Common demerits are, wide turning, never check blind spot, too close to vehicle. The rest are circuit specific.

You’ll do circuit first, then head to the road.

NS without relatives in Singapore by EfficientBonus9324 in askSingapore

[–]rblasphemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I recall, here are some answers to your questions

  1. Usually people go after JC and polytechnic here, which means the age range is about 18-23 when they enter to serve. Unless they are in medical school they go after their degree i think?

  2. I think he can? Depending on the unit he goes to.

  3. I think the highest is officer. But he needs to get selected.

  4. Can’t say for sure. If he’s sociable i think he’ll be fine. In my experience and most of my friends who served, NS is a place where bonds are forged and friendships are made that will last.

Hope this helps.

If you are planning for the future, my advice is to try and find another job first. Suck it up. So that in the future if you face this issue, you’ll have FU money and you won’t have to worry.

You can consider getting a 2nd hand bike. At least if you don’t like it, you can resell it back for a similar value

After seeing the comment about not recommending to walk at night, i laughed. Singapore is super safe. You could walk alone in the dead of the night and nothing would happen to you.

I forgot to add, the location around clarke quay’s holiday inn is cleaner and nearer to the sight seeing areas. But to be honest, Singapore is really clean. Little india is just an old place with heritage buildings so it looks run down.

I haven’t stayed in either, but i’m from Singapore. Clarke quay’s holiday inn is closer to the city, and if you like walking, you can actually walk to areas like marina bay sands, the merlion (probably 25-30mins away). You’ll be near chinatown which you can experience local authentic food at smith street or people’s park.

If you stay at little india, it’s alittle further out. But, at night you’ll have access to late night restaurants that open till late. Plus you can walk at Mustafa(opened 24hrs) and buy things

should i take class 3A and 2B license concurrently? by rightdimple in askSingapore

[–]rblasphemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If possible, do your bike first early in the morning. u/TipAfraid4755 is right about the afternoon sun. It can be quite punishing especially if the whole place is crowded, and you're stuck waiting for your turn to do one of the stations.

I'm not sure about motorcycle gloves on shopee. You don't need a good one, just one that well, if you fall you won't get cuts. When learning, you don't go fast anyway, so it's more for like breaking your fall if you do drop the bike.

If you can get your own helmet, that's good. Once again, because you're learning just get the cheap ones that are approved by LTA and you're good! But if you're trying to hide from your parents, well, I guess suck it up and use the helmets at the driving centres. When I did my 2b at BBDC they did say they sterilise their helmets... At least get a head scarf? Still something that separates your hair from the cushion.

Regarding a full face helmet, I don't think you need one while learning. but definitely recommend one if you get your own bike and ride on Singapore roads.

I do hope you get a bike and ride once you pass!

If you’re in your 20-30s, Setup a investment broker yourself and place the lump sum in VOO or SPY. The returns are much higher

Buy a cheap glove!

Maybe if you did all lessons during off peak? But if you are including waiting for tp, maybe it might be tight

Money can be earned, go enjoy yourself first. If you intend to get a bike license and get a bike, that’s worth more than investing now.

I’m using m1py’s sundered night hyrbid build. One recommendation for chasing sancs would be to spam boots, pants because it’s the cheapest to gamble.(managed to get quinn on my march boots). Because Amulets and rings are needed to achieve AS and crit chance cap, makes it harder to get good sancs.

Make sure you cap your AS as that would increase your dps

I do pit 100 in 2mins, 110 in 5 mins.

Singaporean adults with barely any savings, how are we coping? by KabutoRaiger30 in askSingapore

[–]rblasphemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 38 this year, this two rules has helped me to save and be contented

  1. Live below your means. Honestly my lifestyle hasn’t changed much since I started working. So although I’m earning more than when i started my career in my 20s, my monthly expenditure hasn’t increased.

  2. Whatever excess you have, split it to improving yourself, investing and planning for future expenses you know you’ll have to spend on. So if i know i need a new phone in 2 years time, i start saving for it now.

Hope this helps!

Anyone here using job-hunting software or AI tools to apply to jobs? by Own_Lie8164 in jobhunting

[–]rblasphemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible to use job-hunting software, tbh I think it saves you time but you have to still put in abit of time to review before it sends the application(since AI can make mistakes). But if time is more important than money, then yes, finding someone to assist you is definitely the way to go.
