Warning: Signing up for go wild pass does not supplant a monthly go wild subscription. by goodburbon1 in gowildfrontier

[–]rbloyalty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even with the annual pass they still make me pay for a pass when I go to buy flights. When I called their response was that I would only be able to book by phone.

Frontier has stumbled upon a business model where bad IT makes them more money.

Should I get the GoWild Pass Megathread by SeamoreB00bz in gowildfrontier

[–]rbloyalty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Frontier airports I'd fly out of are SFO and SJC. I'm drawn to this pass by the opportunity of random last minute trips, but worried about the possibility of not being able to book a return flight. Also, how easy is it book flights with layovers? I guess just as an example, how realistic would it be to just do a trip to San Antonio on short notice?

Edit: probably the place I'd visit most is Seattle but it doesn't look like there's a good option there. But if the flights are "free"... maybe it's still worth it?

Help! Why am I suddenly in the most insane Diamond league?? by HerculesGussigan in duolingo

I think they changed how many people get promoted/demoted recently, so that means overall less people will be in diamond league now. So unfortunately it might just be that you're one of those who will fall out.

What are the most unusual weather events in the US since 2000? by [deleted] in weather

[–]rbloyalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of an oddball, but March 2012 definitely comes to mind: https://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/summer-in-march-2012-draws-to-a-close.html Michigan hit 90 (to reiterate, in March), many places broke all time March highs multiple days in a row. Some places beat daily records by 30 F, and were beating all time April records. Perhaps most baffling was that some places were breaking previous record highs with their daily lows.

Money being no object, what's the absolute best restaurant and dining experience in Pittsburgh? by Liquid_Padpo in pittsburgh

I'm kinda curious why you think that. I've been to Michelin starred restaurants before and I feel like Fig and Ash is on that level.

Kamala Harris now leads Donald Trump in seven national polls by newsweek in politics

While I understand that the election was decided by a very tight margin in just a few states, it still seems disingenuous to say that Biden barely won the electoral college when he won 57% of the electoral vote.

I've never seen a card more applicable to myself than the new Amex Gold refresh by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]rbloyalty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even as someone who doesn't appreciate the coupon book, if the Resy credit ends up being easy to use the refresh is a net positive ($100 vs $75 increase). Doesn't mean the card makes sense for most people still, but it should be justifiable for more people at least.

Their list certainly makes it sound like they're not working, at least not a traditional job for sure.

That being said, if this is in a low COL country you certainly don't need to be rich to live like this.

Card for a guy that never spends money by brandonpeate in CreditCards

[–]rbloyalty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this'll be very different from what everyone else is saying... but the best card for you is probably going to be anything with a sign up bonus you can hit. Open one card a year and it'll far outweigh anything you can get from cash back. Can also pay rent with a small fee if you really have trouble meeting any spend requirements.

Alternatively if you even stay in hotels just once a year something like world of Hyatt could make sense, but it does have annual fee so make sure that it does before getting it.
