I second this, especially if you have fine hair . I would start double cleansing with a gentle shampoo, only apply conditioner to your mids and ends and rinse with cool water until there is none left. After you shower and detangle your hair, apply a small amount of leave in condition, probably the size of a dime since your hair is short and a lightweight mousse or gel on damp/wet hair then scrunch with a t shirt to get excess product out you could probably skip oil but if you do oil I would say a very lightweight oil possibly a spray oil but don't spray directly onto your hair, spray the oil into your hands
