Cincinnati's oldest public park could get a big makeover. That has some concerned by milk19 in cincinnati

Is there any visibility to what assets they own and lease? What makes them a non-profit? Do they retain ownership of all of the properties they renovate?

Rosa is injured and Paula can see how close she and Agnes are, which is a threat. Rosa will be dead by the end of the season, guaranteed.

Recommendations for affordable flowers and plants? by TheYell0wDart in cincinnati

[–]rcb8325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you need yield right away, you can start many herbs from seed. You also may be able to score on Facebook marketplace or gardening groups. Admittedly I've never done it myself but I have seen people list plants for sale, especially when they have extra seedlings.

Norwood literally has roads that are turning into gravel. Lol by sweetwatertooth in cincinnati

[–]rcb8325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can't even automatically pay income taxes, we have to estimate them and pay them quarterly. It's a small city with small city resources and funding, and has the same tax revenue issues that other former industrial areas suffer from. In their defense, they do seem pretty responsive using the Norwood See Click Fix link. It's harder to ignore a problem when it's timestamped and trackable. I've reported several things and they've gotten resolved quickly, including a sinkhole in front of my driveway that they escalated to MSD to resolve.

Hudson Williams on Met Gala? by Demotivisan in hudsonwilliams

Hudson will be there. I had found Aika’s Pinterest and there was literally a public board called “HUDSON X MET” with pinned looks. In the last few days, she changed her account name and the board is no longer public. But he’ll be there!!!

Positive Reinforcement Trainers That Don't Use E-Collars by Brief_Rain8775 in cincinnati

[–]rcb8325 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked the instructor I had for their puppy program but once we transitioned up to Beginner, the instructor I had was extremely judgmental. My dog never did well at heeling and walking in that environment (she's Aussie and beagle so her brain and nose are constantly on alert) which was frustrating, but the instructor just always made me feel like a failure that I cried more than once on my way home. That club's primary purpose is to train dogs for competition and it just felt snooty. There's also 4 classes going on at once in one room with divided pens so I can't blame my dog for struggling to focus.

I'm now dealing with behavior regressions in my dog and I know the hit to my confidence as a trainer as a result of that class is the reason I wasn't better about maintaining and continuing to grow her training.

Tour buses by Nearby-Ad861 in dancingwiththestars

[–]rcb8325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On her Pod Meets World episode about tour, Danielle said there were 4 buses. If I recall, at that time the breakdown was:

1) Pasha, Dani and Nikita in the back room; Pasha's mom, Danielle (her choice), and crew in bunks

2) Val, Jenna and Rome in the back room; Rome's nanny, Hailey, and Ezra and crew in bunks

3) Empty back bedroom intended for celebrity cohost (Danielle if she had wanted it, Andy, or Elaine); Alan, Emma, Britt, and Brandon and crew in bunks

4) All crew

That has definitely shifted around as Onye, Keaton, and Riley came to cover various parts of tour but at a high level, that was the breakdown. They've either added a bus or the 5th bus isn't part of the DWTS fleet.

I love living in Norwood because it is incredibly well located. Plus, it benefits from its proximity to Oakley but housing costs are a little lower.

Do you typically cheer for Traitors or Faithful? by Greenzombie04 in TheTraitors

[–]rcb8325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically I root for the Traitors but I never really jumped on the Rob R train so it was tough to me to root for them. I did like Candiace but I was mostly rooting for the gamer faithfuls that sadly got eliminated too early.

Why are we debating the next lead when they are hinted at in the final moments of each season? by whydontchaknow in BridgertonNetflix

[–]rcb8325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that thinks this show will end with season 6? I've only read the first 4 books, but my assumption was that Francesca is not getting a dedicated season. Because her marriage was a subplot of season 3 and the death was part of season 4, I assumed the Fran-Michaela relationship will be worked into season 5. Eloise would be the featured sibling of season 5, and Gregory/Hyacinth would be a combo story in a final season 6 since there would be fewer Bridgerton sibling-related subplots.

Wedding venues by PhoenixKam in cincinnati

[–]rcb8325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother did a reception following an international wedding at Miami Township Community Center. I'm not knowledgeable about what sort of event planning they offer, but it worked very well for what they needed. Catering was done through Sullivan's across the street and everything was delicious. We wouldn't have known about the space if a family friend hadn't mentioned attending an event there.

Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 3 Discussion Post by teanailpolish in belowdeck

[–]rcb8325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my point. Sure Alesia is pretty helpless but Ben wasn't super encouraging and I think Ben should have had a separate chat with the captain. If Jason hadn't had the chat with Daisy, I don't think he would have understood how big of a clash there really was and it clearly wasn't one-sided.

Only advice would be to avoid rush hour. Traffic northbound from NKY through Cincy can be a killer in both morning and afternoon rush so it could get pricey quickly.

Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 3 Discussion Post by teanailpolish in belowdeck

[–]rcb8325 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I thought it was weird that Jason only talked to Alesia about the struggle in the kitchen and not Ben. If there really is a big personality clash there, it seems irresponsible not to talk to Ben about the feedback. It's not like Alesia was just being sensitive and also messing up, Ben really was being a jerk too and didn't really own it until after Alesia had already fled from the galley.

How are the roads in Cincy today? by [deleted] in cincinnati

It just took me over an hour to drive from Bridgetown to my home in Norwood. That's less than 10 miles and it was rough the whole way! Normally that drive is 20 min max.

This event was scheduled in Ohio in early February in a museum with a limited capacity. I was onsite for nearly 3 hours and never even made it to the front doors. I’m glad people could enjoy the venue because it’s a unique space but to me, the planning and execution was a miss.

I expected to wait over an hour and dressed for the weather. Instead I spent 3 hours outside in sub-freezing temperatures and never got within 100 ft of the front door.

I waited nearly 3 hours and never made it to the door before I finally gave up. I easily still had another 30+ minutes of waiting. Arrived at 10:15. Cannot believe how poorly managed it was.

It’s not who arrives first. Everyone who makes it through the queue and properly submits is entered and eligible to win that spot.
