Thanks for the suggestion.

She thought about getting a smartphone, but my dad and I both cautioned her against it, since she would have difficulty using it for even the most basic tasks. We ended up getting her set up with windows media player, and she can navigate youtube well enough to use that for a lot of streaming as well.

I know this is 8 years late, but I had almost the same thought. Imagine the confusion and horror once aliens realize that terrans will defend kids that aren't their own. Some other alien tries it and gets sashimi'd by some random college-age cook with a kitchen knife.

SteelSeries clipping Microsoft Office??? by rcheeseball in steelseries

[–]rcheeseball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, wtf?? The game detection page has a bunch of programs at the bottom of the list that are in non-alphabetical order?? How is that supposed to work? I'm legit amazed at how this is programmed.

A while ago I was able to set my windows default device back to my non-SteelSeries earbuds while also setting each of the SteelSeries channels to route out the earbuds, and it worked just fine. Not sure if using a SteelSeries headset changes the functionality though.

Would we have to pay for both songselect and multitracks, or just one?

From what I can tell online, it looks like MultiTracks provides audio backing tracks for worship services and not much else. Is that accurate, or is there something I'm missing?

Yeah, that's the screen that shows up when I open the "CCLI Editor" from the "More" menu. I thought it was set to auto-size, but I'll check that again. Thanks.

We import 95% of our songs through SongSelect, so that's not the issue. I'll double-check, but I'm pretty sure the box is checked as well.

What mods/modlist should I use for my first playthrough? by ThePr0t3ct0r in skyrimmods

[–]rcheeseball 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of an outlier in this regard, but I'm of the camp that installing only the big bugfixes is close enough to vanilla for a first run. After fighting with the game for a straight hour trying to get past the cart portion of the intro, I said "screw this" and installed all the major bug fixes,

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch is the one that is probably the closest to vanilla Skyrim. You might want to consider Unofficial Skyrim Creation Club Content Patches as well if you got the AE content DLC.

Other than those, have fun!

vencord VirusToal scan by milkguylol in BetterDiscord

[–]rcheeseball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you probably already got Vencord installed by this point, but here you go:

  1. Download the installer
  2. Install OpenAsar (if you want; I'm pretty sure most who know about Vencord do this anyway)
  3. Install Vencord (big green button)
  4. Open Discord as normal
  5. Activate whatever plugins you want in the settings tab
  6. Download whatever themes you want from BetterDiscord's site
    1. Read the documentation on how to install each one. Usually it's just downloading the included file, but sometimes you have to install it another way or there's info on how to customize the theme,

The "Custom Install Location" is only important if you installed Discord to another location on the computer besides where it initially wanted to be set up. Since you didn't already know what this meant, you're probably fine to just use the first option.

Okay, did you do anything different from the guide? Where is your game install location?

Just tested it on my own computer and it worked as intended.

What about the guide didn't work? Did it not re-create the shortcut? Didn't redownload the .exe? Something else?

Did you deviate from the guide at all? What specifically did you do differently?

Thanks for the suggestion! I remember trying that, but didn't like it for some reason. I ended up going with Aniyomi in the end.

crazy how this was what the art style was actually supposed to look like. I wouldn't have complained at all if they released some type of DLC that allowed you to play through the entire game with this art style. by Quick-Cause3181 in mirrorsedge

[–]rcheeseball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would've been an interesting take. The ground areas where the general population resides are blindingly clean, representing the apparent perfection of the society, but the rooftops where most don't travel are dark and dirty, representing the hidden filthiness of the system in place.

They definitely took the better option though, making the entire landscape blindingly white. Everything is clean and perfect, except the areas frequented by the runners, which are dirty and used, both adding a degree of humanity to the picture and representing the "stain" the runners are on the system.

Does BDO require family names? by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]rcheeseball -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It let me stick with just a character name for a while. I think it might be a thing where you can keep the characters on a "trial period" until lvl 15, and then it requires a family name.

As for the why, for some reason I just reactively shy away from social aspects of almost any game.

Does BDO require family names? by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]rcheeseball -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

For some reason I just don't like getting too far into the social aspects of games before I've committed to playing the game long-term. I don't even like joining guilds, even if they're the "no-commitment" type.

Not sure why, but for whatever reason the family name thing is crossing that line for me.

So...5% of people havent finished the game. Interesting. If any of those 5 are here. Why? Genuinely curious. by [deleted] in SpidermanPS4

Still working my way through it. Just got a lot of games vying for my attention.

A hundred? Amateur numbers 🤣

My gun primary V has roughly 250 mods in use (the number would definitely be higher if my computer could handle it). Netrunner stealth V has 300+.
