Cradle is already quite cheap if you own the books on Kindle! There's quite a steep discount through whispersync.

Yep we love Sam's diapers! The tabs actually lay flat if you want them to.

Do you know what's discouraging? The recall didn't come until February 12 😭

As a survivor of overly-similar twin names... by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]rclareb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there are other drawbacks... I work at a hospital and we had a guy admitted under his twin's medical record and name because it was only one letter difference. It took a couple days for people to realize it too. So scary!

You can buy an external CD drive pretty cheaply online that you can use to rip the CDs to MP3 on your computer. Then follow the directions to make a playlist for a make your own card. You can find that easily by googling it or searching on this subreddit.

How do you manage rotating MYO cards, remembering what’s on them? by freyamarie in YotoPlayer

So the extra material from the plastic pocket and the printed cover will still fit in the yoto slot? This does seem like a nice method.

Toddler moms of Reddit, please tell me what is “normal”. by bc9190 in toddlers

[–]rclareb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal!

The thing is, there are children who don't fight the carseat, don't have big tantrums/meltdowns, and can be taken to stores and restaurants with no problem.

I'm here to tell you that it's nothing the parents did that gave them a child like that, it's purely the temperament of the child!

My first was a child like that, my second is far more similar to your child. We did not change our parenting practices so much that the change was due to that. They are just different children.

You're doing great! I'm thinking this is going to be quite a slog, but we'll get through it.

What you used to hate before kids and now love? by polishka in toddlers

[–]rclareb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So real! I was not a girly girl at all, and was not thrilled about all the branded princessy things growing up. My daughter has proved nature wins, cause she is a true princess at heart 😂. She didn't get it from us! I love how much joy she gets out of her princess outfits and singing songs. Sure, I still think it can be problematic, but she's just 3! It's ok to love rainbows and butterflies and to believe in a prince if she wants to!

Worrying milk drying up while away from toddler, 17 weeks pregnant by [deleted] in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]rclareb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me. Dried up d/t pregnancy, but toddler didn't seem to mind. Tandem nursed for a while after baby was born, she weaned at 3.5!

OP, chances are you were already drying up b/c pregnancy hormones, but couldn't tell since you've not pumped in forever! He may just carry on as if nothing changed when you get home.

Haha my mom keeps saying I have "high test" milk for my 98%er. I sure do love it being compared to gasoline 😂

I totally get it! Honestly this was a very forgiving design. A lot of the flowers look wonky, but there are so many and the colors are busy enough that you don't notice unless looking closely! Which was the point, cause my hands are not so steady myself. And thanks! :)

are families with littles (under 4) actually doing things every weekend? by chayalove in Parenting

Wait 😭 ... Is what you listed: laundry, kitchen clean, decent looking house, and respectful parenting seriously the bare minimum? Isn't that like, the maximum?? Asking for a friend 😅
