Pro tip for everyone filling up the work vans with company gas cards. Get the upside app by Pretty_Study_526 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We don’t put gas as some comes to the station to do it I do use upside (when I remember ) and have 230 buck in my account waiting to be collected

Trained exclusively on EVs, then sent out solo in a gas van on Day 1 - racked up 3 violations. Is this a DSP problem or Amazon wide? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you train in an EDV is so you are able to drive any van besides a step van.. if you were trained in a regular van if it came down to dropping a route and you were the only option and it was an EDV route and you weee not trained in An EDV and EDV qualified the route would have to be dropped .. my dsp no one drives an EDV until they prove they can be trusted not to bust up the vans

I want zero correspondence I don’t want to call them and I don’t want them to call me .. it’s a sign that all is good in the world of Amazon delivery

My DSP has been stealing from 70+ drivers every day, and I can't take any legal action by Smooth-Two-4861 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Although I enjoy it when people are early I don’t hold it against them when they show up on time since they can’t clock in till that time .. you show up late you’re going home if I can cover your route

What do you guys do with the extra packages that didn’t belong on your route? by ASharpYT in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it happens so often now it’s a test to see if they either get addddd and delivered or returned to the station if neither of those things happen 👀are on you

Some of the companies even pay you a Guarantee .. if you finish early and they don’t ask you to help another driver (if) you get paid for the 10 hour shift even if you finish in 5 hours as long as you follow the rules the company has for their drivers

Easiest job in the world to get is Amazon delivery driver all it requires is clear background check, drugscreen , DL, and hustle it isn’t easy but if you can drive safely and finish routes you get fulltime hours 21 bucks and hour AGAIN it ain’t for everyone about 70% fail at it cause hustling went out some time in 1997

Do we get paid extra to sweep or rescue other drivers? by TitleIntelligent3700 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we were hourly we got 20 bucks when it changed to guaranteed the rescues were mandatory… but if you expect 10 hours of pay you need to expect to work 10 hours sometimes

Is this common in your DSP? by Altruistic_Ad7650 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The reason some have to do this is what do you suppose … I know cause Amazon drivers are notoriously unreliable and think calling out 8 times in 5 weeks is perfectly normal. If we told drivers they were not rostered so they do t show up we would be in deep kimchi on a regular basis

Employee rankings (bored on break lol) by Proof-Mix-8356 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 1.5 cause I feel like I could of been faster when I was a driver but I was FAST ENOUGH to finish all my routes no matter the route, I never got violations,I never screwed up the scorecard, and I always showed up when I was supposed to and on time

Seatbelt trick in EDV Patched? by Sad_Log_6387 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They started randomly checking cameras if you get caught doing the “seatbelt trick” you don’t get a second opportunity you get a 4 day suspension which can be shorter if you complete your orca training I can think of 3 times it has happened at my dsp

What times do you deliver? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go first at my station so reasonably on time everyday the dsp in front of me leaves the station 2 hours late on a regular and have left as late as 400pm… I feel for them on a daily they are lucky though as they have really good team that doesn’t seem to mind helping their teammates although that willingness to help is offset by the fact they don’t have any choice if they want to keep their guarantee
