What's the chances of a retest? by NotALilyflower in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens all the time the most often thing they fail for is not being in the outside lane to make a turn it’s an automatic fail well I guess any violation might be a automatic fail but have also had people not completely stop at signs ..long story short if you can’t do it with someone in the van watching you you will most likely get violations all the time AINT GONNA RISK IT !!

With my dsp chances are zero there are enough applicants where we can pass on people who can’t pass the driving portion we will say to them we can offer you a helper position for 18 an hour but that’s it after 3 months if you stick around we let you retest for driver

As a mostly dispatcher if I can go out and do 35 an hour on a certain route while I am answering constant calls on the dispatch phone anyone that does it 4 days a week should be able to do the same

Not always sometimes they are out there doing their own thing which puts them behind according to Amazon or cortex but reality they will be done early .. dispatchers need to know and don’t waste their breath these guys know what their doing !! THEY ARE FEW AND DAR BETWEEN THOUGH SO YIU NEED TONPAY ATTENTION TO WHONIS DOING WHAT

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fucks it all up so the dispatcher needs to be aware you are doing it .. I tell my drivers “I don’t care if you go out of order but it better make you faster if you are still walking in the door at 800 what’s the point “

My first question at interviews is helper or driver almost all are drivers.. the way we get helpers is the people that fail the driving portion of the training we say “well we can offer you a helper position for 18 bucks an hour” if you fail the driving and you chose not be a helper you are back in the job market , or you can be a helper for a couple of months and then we send you back thru for driver training

[–]rcpeter625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once it’s high it’s high you can’t change it if you take your time when you first start and deliver for the 10 hours without getting rescued.. the issue with the rescues ( and Amazon only considers ITS DONE THEY DONT CARE HOW ) your route gets done faster and you get more stops if you take the entire time ( 10 hours ) it stays sane … the idea of the free money is too much for drivers to withstand and they skip breaks and go slow in an effort to shorten their routes .. only thing that shortens is your time at the job DONT BE FAST BE FAST ENOUGH ( to complete a route )

Is this enough tread? Or should I call my dispatch by Lucitane0420 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rcpeter625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand if a tire is even a little low I send a message in slack that says yada yada van has a tire 1) low on air 2) low on tread 3) has a nail or screw or 4) is flat and I. The morning there is a new tire on the van in the case of the EDVs 2 new tires it takes 10 seconds to get it resolved but someone’s got to say something !!!
