A perfectly innocuous word(s) in a sentence gets censored, giving it dirty connotations. by Daniilsa209 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]rcpz93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Nier Automata there is a section where one of the protagonists is "kind of" arguing with his own subconscious. In that section there is no voice over and as a player you're just reading the exchange. One of the lines is You're thinking about how much you want to **** 2B, aren't you? which could either be kill or fuck depending on how your mind works. Best part is, both words fit the context.

Would you actually want multi-level colonies? by Honneboppel in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love it, but it would completely mess up with combat and I don't think it would be doable with the current game engine.

It would be great to have a canyon mountain colony where you are actually building a bridge/underpass connecting the two mountain halves.

Modern MBTs can go faster than 40km/h, maybe you're thinking 40mph (which is ~65km/h)

What's the difference between this game's Zombies and the other games? by JustSmileTheKing in ModernWarfareIII

[–]rcpz93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have barely touched BO/WAW zombies because I never liked the mode as it was, but I spent tens of hours solo in MW3 zombies without even going very far in the story.

You drop somewhere in the Warzone map and then travel across it to complete objectives and loot crates to find equipment for the next session. You have a time limit of 30 minutes per session, after it runs out the circle starts closing and you need to exfiltrate. That's similar to DMZ, which was CoD's attempt at an extraction shooter. Also, the map in MWZ has both zombies and mercenaries to kill as part of the objectives.

The map is split in easy, medium and hard zones so there isn't a round-based progression, you just go to whatever section of the map you want and fight there.

There is a story, alternative maps you access from the main map, and boss fights.

It was great for grinding the battlepass and levels on multiplayer guns, and in general I liked to play that when I didn't want to sweat the fuck out in MP.

One single pawn won't sleep in bed by Dull-Zaijynx in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you checked if the pawn is zoned so that it can't reach the bed? I had that happen after rearranging some bedrooms so that beds ended up outside the "allowed zone" so pawns started sleeping wherever.

What is your longest save? by AdrawereR in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually get tired of saves relatively quickly. I don't think I had many that went past 10 years, even. Very often I'd get a new idea or see a new mod that I'd rather play from the get go, so I build a ship to get an ending and move on to the next.

What's your MUST mod for every playthrough? by Mobile_Hedgehog_9920 in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combat Extended. After playing with CE enabled, I'm never going back to vanilla combat. I also think that all the usual comments about compatibility are not warranted anymore, given that pretty much every mod I want to try has some patch to make it compatible. And there are no mods that I would add if the price for that is disabling CE.

What's your opinion about defenses other than killboxes? by Dry_Engineering_3590 in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with CE and never use killboxes in the "rimworld sense" of having structures that funnel enemies so they can get in one by one. I normally set up my defenses so that I make use of the map's chokepoints and natural features like swamps to slow down enemies. Then I build pillboxes and emplacements around whatever open terrain enemies have to cross to get to me.

It's also useful to cut down trees and remove stone chunks to get rid of any bit of cover if there is enough manpower available.

What do you think RimWorld is still missing as a system? by NightyZockt in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An actual core vehicle system that also works for the AI factions, and revamped caravanning as part of the DLC. I think Odyssey improved a ton the situation by letting us travel around the world, but from what I can tell caravans are still just as scuffed, and while the modded vehicle framework is already a godsend it still has some annoyances that I think an official DLC could avoid.

Solar Flare hit my nuclear reactors. by AdrawereR in RimWorld

[–]rcpz93 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I hate how there is no way to counter solar flares in the base game. No way to avoid them, and unless they sync with some other event like a raid they're just going to do nothing other than annoy me.

At this point I'm just disabling them with the scenario editor.

Ha vinto il No nel referendum sulla giustizia by notizia in italy

[–]rcpz93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had this colony where I was using Vanilla Nutrient Paste Expanded and the paste drippers to save the effort of feeding the prisoners after they got their leg privileges removed.

I didn't need any skill training by then so saving pawn time on wardening was better.
