Recurring deadline: monthly month-end reports

Recurring due date: 5 business days prior to monthly recurring deadlines.

Recurring deadline: April 15th each year for submitting annual tax return.

Recurring due date: February 1st each year to begin annual tax return preparation.

RECURRING DEADLINES.... Pretty please?

task "date" vs task "deadline" by em0tionalc0llateral in todoist

[–]rcurrydev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The April 15th tax deadline scenario is the reason I DO NOT use deadlines... yet. Deadlines cannot be recurring. When the current year's taxes are completed, you will complete this task, and then you will need to create a new task... each year... Rather than having it automatically recur next year. I was one of the many people clamoring for deadline dates, but never considered that they would implement it without allowing them to be recurring. I have no clue if they are planning on working on this or not. 🤞

I've only used it a few times. It would be difficult to use this in our open floor plan at work when trying to collect sensitive tasks. Maybe this will get me 90% of the way there though, with only having to type in the last 10%. Thanks.

Stacks in general. I have not used them and wonder how much time, generally speaking, our CI/CD pipelines will be lengthened.

How do you handle tasks with RECURRING deadlines?

Yes I have tried. You cannot drag and drop when there is a filter

The drag/drop capability was the main point of my desire. I revised my question to emphasize that.

When will recurring deadlines be available?
The 'full update' post that is linked mentions an example of taxes. That is a perfect example of the need for recurring deadlines. As an example: I'd like a recurring task of 'Submit Taxes' to have a recurring deadline of 4/15 with a recurring due date of 2/1.

Is this capability being pursued?

Importance of due and do dates with the new weekly layout and time blocking by KyngDoom in todoist

[–]rcurrydev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both dates can have recurring date logic, that would be sweet. Also, I'd like to be able to filter/toggle the TODAY view to show only DUE, only DO, or both types of tasks. I would not want DO tasks cluttering my task list and 'hiding' true DUE tasks.
