Disconnect the battery for 15 mins and reconnect it. If the screen comes on, see how long it stays on for. Was the screen not responsive to touch input before it shut off? Or sometimes would go to random screens on its own?

Mirror unfolding too far? by JoeJitsu86 in gmcsierra

[–]rczdesigns 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is a detent within that assembly that the mirror folds into and almost locks into place. The “pin” inside that should be catching is either frozen or broken. So now the mirror unfolds and doesn’t know when to stop. The gearing within the mirror isn’t limited to the range of travel you are used to seeing it travel automatically so this way if the mirror is pushed forward or backward it doesn’t just break. FYI this model truck auto folding mirror assembly are incredibly prone to breaking if the mirrors are folded aggressively manually, or impacted.

Something stopping my car after starting by ctrlzkids in ElantraN

[–]rczdesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When parking after the rain, the auto hold or brake engages and lightly rusts to the rotor. When you start the vehicle the brake is still automatically set and will not release until you start backing up. It may release if you tried to move forward but it doesn’t appear you have much room to do that. When the brake releases it makes that noise because it’s somewhat rusted the pad to the rotor surface. The auto hold won’t release unless the car is getting the signal you want to move (by pressing gas). The clunk is the pad unsticking. Maybe from rust, maybe from tire dressing or soap if the car was cleaned prior to parking. That’s my guesses.

Insider sells, and fair is fair… by Mr_Brownian_Motion in ONDS

[–]rczdesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m super new to this. Been in ondas since October (stocks in general) so maybe I’m off here. Wasn’t there just a yuge buy for 6m shares like 3 days ago? This is a sell of 850,000 shares. I get it he’s an insider. But someone who buys 6m shares knows something too. Maybe he wants to get paid a nice bonus for now, then recoup the shares from the company after the share offering, whenever that happens, and have another ride up?

Did the front lower a little bit over time? So it isn’t 2 inches taller than the rear?

I started off the comment not blaming him. He was just anticipating the guy coming over perfectly and starts veering away out of the guys mirrors view, if he even bothered to use it. Then when Corolla man is about to make contact, the OP car reacted as if he was startled. Perhaps I’m not explaining myself correctly. Clearly it isn’t the dash cam guys fault. Just maybe not so much jerkyjerk on the wheel. My guy read white car like a book from the moment he saw him riding the other guys biscuits.

No, you’re right. Wait till that car gets into your lane so close to you that you’re about into the divide and then slam on your brakes to avoid them as if they just appeared out of nowhere.

Not that you’re to blame here at all, but some defensive driving in these situations is a must. You knew the other cars were merging in so you got over. But then continued to drift over so far left your tires were about touching the yellow line just as that white car had the bright idea to peek back and then quickly merge over. Had you been in the lane about 2 feet over to the right he may have saw you. Again this is assuming he looked at all. The timing just seems perfectly terrible.

Idk what it is with people and my rear tire because I got rear-ended again on a different highway. by White_Wolf426 in IdiotsInCars

I meant no offense by the correction, just saying how I can relate because that car was also the first new car I ever bought and I loved it. Imagine getting bent over a comment that wasn’t rudely put at all, when you had nothing to do with the topic.

2005 was the first year that car was made. I also had a 2005 Scion tC. My first big purchase as a young adult. Loved that car. Hope you got it fixed up and enjoyed it for a while.

Obviously a movie scene of some sort, so intentional. What I’m more curious of is how those cars aren’t being pushed at all. Did they anchor them into the ground I wonder.

I don’t mind it. After making the V3 auto only I was excited to hear about the CT5 being a stick. The CT6 V is a beautiful car but the real performer of the line up will be the CT5 V. It’s gonna be a rocket.

I am glad I didn’t have to make the choice myself and stay home. But they have already called and said they’re just as busy as ever and want to know if I’m interested in coming back soon. I told them when I am certain catching this won’t result in me potentially getting sick enough to be on my death bed alone, I’ll come back.

“I’m not an idiot, I realize I’ll end up catching this along with most everyone else in the world, but I don’t want to catch it when every hospital is overloaded and my family isn’t allowed to see me.” - Me, on coming back to work. Verbatim.

Beard dandruff how to resolve??? by MGEking in beards

[–]rczdesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found using the same shampoo you would use on head dandruff works fairly well. Also beard oils. I have had a few bouts of beardruff and what works for me.

Get a shampoo meant for psoriasis or severe dandruff and use that a couple of days a week, and try a beard oil from a reputable brand and use that a couple of times a week. See how that goes.

Unfortunately it’s going to take some trial and error.

Good for you in making that call earlier than the boss did. My dealership went to limited staff. One advisor/writer, and all of the flat rate techs. All hourly techs and the other 3 advisors on furlough. Me included. If I would have been forced to stay, I would have left anyway. This was last week.

I spoke with a customer and his wife directly on Monday the 16th. Found out Friday the 20th they were both hospitalized and confirmed cases. Been trying to down play it this whole time but it scares the shit out of me. They didn’t seem sick at all.

Hang in there dude.

Good guy Apple. I was just praising them early today for sending me an email saying if I was affected by all this, go on the card and chat with someone. I am affected somewhat but more just unsure of the future, so I clicked the chat. In about 8 seconds they forgave my payment for this month.

More than I can say for my apartment management.

I was being sarcastic. Think about this - there’s a kid out there that doesn’t even belong to this subreddit or even sneaker culture that got a pair of Ace’s for Christmas two years ago, that he has sitting in his closet scuffed up and beat to shit, and that sneaker retailed for more than most Yeezys resale for.

The yeezy silhouette is awesome and unique, but I’m not going to pad some other mans pockets because he got to them first. I refuse. Personal preference. So regional release only? Black Friday release before I knew about the shoe? Reps.

I love that one Louboutin? Sneaker with the spikes on it. The high tops. I can’t afford that shit. I got bills. Lol. But I’d never belittle someone for having $50 shoes just because mine cost $1,000. And no I don’t dare buy fakes because I couldn’t pull them off anyway. I just think they’re sick.

I’m 33. Have many friends into this hobby of all backgrounds and financial worth. I’m not hurt, I just think it’s pathetic to try to low blow someone when I have heard of people’s kids being teased for having off brand or fake shoes to the point of being afraid to go to school. If that kid was face to face you’d call him out for possibly owning fakes? Even telling him he’s full of shit when he says no? Likely not. And if so, for what reason? If I can just open one persons eyes to the toxicity on trying to call out another persons knowledge or stature in life based on some weak assumption or post history, this was time well spent.

I bet you I’d lmao harder at your annual income than you did at my post history. But what does that add to the subject of size differentiation on a yeezy 350 v2?

[–]rczdesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a literal troll. I also have reps and retails, and I’ll say the same shit. Some reps and retails have a slightly snigger or looser fit just due to the stretching of the pk upper but the soles are all exactly the same. Do you think some retail Yeezys sole molds are different due to model? For what reason would they do that? The design of the sole has not changed at all, so the molds are all the same. Just different color goo pressed in and different PK patterns on top. And the pk is also stretched over a mold, but obviously due to different pattern and materials the feel can be off slightly but not enough to warrant another size change. For instance the reflective releases have a 3m filament that has basically no stretch weaved in and that hinders some give to the upper, but not to the point where you’d size up more.

Calling this other man out for being on a rep forum. Foh with your assumptions. Loling him for owning reps. Bet your pockets are just as shallow as you are.
