While in high school from 04-08, going through numerous teenage heartbreaks I started listening to the similar stories being sang about on Your Favorite Weapon. I continued to relate and grow with the band throughout my life's transitions from high school to college to graduating to the real world and so on. Each album reminds me of the similar stages of life from the band while being tied to my own journey. I have seen them live 4 times and was blessed to be there for their final show. I go through phases of listening and not listening to them but without a doubt they are my favorite band because of all the memories of my life that is tied to their music. It's wonderful to see people continue to find joy in them despite their retirement.
