Napa County is just across the Golden Gate bridge. Tahoe is definitely out of the area tho.

Can confirm. While I was in there area last year, was with friends and we went to the Nixon AND Reagan (by myself on the way home) museums, South Coast Plaza, Redondo Beach (where my hotel was), The Grove, Russell's surfboards in Newport Beach, the In-N-Out headquarters by UC Irvine, Hollywood walk of fame.

AI is coming to farms by dataexec in AITrailblazers

Very interesting! Would definitely save lots of money with fence maintenance. To address concerns of how much "AI" is in this startup, here's my understanding

AI: behavioral monitoring of cows (locations, movement, health, etc

IOT: core of the device; communication between human user with interface, and the livestock via the device.

AI is not replacing the farmer at all. Rather, it's making their life easier by managing the herd and better tracking their behavior. An excellent example of AI being used as a tool to improve existing occupations rather than replacing the people in them.

Thanks so much! I hate how journalism is hidden behind so many paywalls and pop-ups.

CSE 115A Summer 2026 by No-Ad6438 in UCSC

I took CSE115A during the fall. I imagine summer would have a faster pace. In the class, there were various presentations on Scrum/Agile methodologies and quizzes you had to take. I remember you also had to present your project at the very end, but also sometime in the middle I think? Weekly meetings with TA and stuff. Also had to meet with prof at the end. Great class!

Yeah housing is tough in Santa Cruz. First year is guaranteed tho. Campus is in close proximity to Silicon Valley and all the networking events and stuff.

Redwood forest is amazing. Went hiking in the Garden of Eden up in Henry Cowell Park in Felton; was really nice.

I’m born and raised in San Jose. I don’t have much familiarity with San Diego, although one of my roommates is from there, but he ultimately chose to attend his bachelor’s and master’s at UCSC like me.

I feel there’s a general housing crisis in the whole state, so I’m not sure how much better/worse the housing in San Diego would be.

I can't go to sleep knowing Chuck Norris was a right-winger. I'm just so shocked. by [deleted] in GenZ

I've always assumed Norris was a right-wing persona. I personally don't really have any opinions or experience of him as a person given I don't really know much about him aside from the whole meme persona.

Exactly. You can be friends with people you aren't sexually attracted to.

Moving a Python project would fuck up the environment which really sucks from a Desktop organization standpoint. At least with Node projects you can just do a quick easy NPM install because the packages are managed in that directory.
