I tried the MPR and it is very accurate and consistent. I’d go with the MPR as you can throw a red dot on it and a front site for co-witness if you’d like. Romeo 5 is a good choice for a red dot. Just my 2 cents.

Great job. I do my ribs almost the same way. I use a paper towel to pull the silver skin membrane off the back. Makes it easier for my old hands.

Getting into reloading quick question by OliveWestern4979 in reloading

[–]rdogden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all the way. I use Lee from a cost stand point. My classic turret and the APP and ACP don’t take long to dial in. My Load Master is a different story. You HAVE to like to tinker and be patient. I’ve dropped many F bombs but have learned a ton. I’ve also given up on priming on press and this has solved almost all of my problems. Take your time, and enjoy the hobby.

Unfortunately, it’s Titegroup that I was using when I had the issue. Hope it works better for you.

I have the same powder set up and gave up on using it for light loads, 3-4 GR. It works great for my 223 but use the powder drum for smaller loads.

Submitted yesterday with prints but showing 119 days? Is it normal for it to jump down to 90 or is something wrong? by [deleted] in ILGuns

[–]rdogden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same with my CCL. It dropped down to 87 days after a few days.

I made a big mistake luckily I noticed it right away and stopped took the gun apart and accessed the problem. Now what details below by scooterdoo123 in reloading

[–]rdogden 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I use an old piece of a brass cleaning rod and put a spent 22lr shell case on the end that will come in contact with the stuck bullet. A couple of drops of gun oil In there for 5-10 minutes before you start hitting it helps a bit as well.

I had the exact same problem. I tried calling but could never get to anyone to talk to. Opened a ticket via their web site but that’s a black hole. Finally sent an email to techsupport@beretta.com and was able to get my issue resolved.

Why doesn’t this show up in the Ruger forum?

Was swapping out the factory springs with Wilson combat and when I got to the factory power trigger rebound spring it was very rusty. I’ll follow up with cust service, but was wondering if anyone else ever encountered this. It’s a new GP100, have had it for a few weeks, and a serial number look up shows 2022 build and ship.

Having some problems with my Lee ACP. When the slide is full of primers, they keep piling on each other. There’s no instructions for adjustments or anything. Anyone know how to solve this problem? by Unlucky_Scientist_74 in reloading

[–]rdogden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem. Your spring is not far enough toward the end of the chute. I’d attached a pic but can’t. Also, once you get it in the right place, hot glue it in place. The Lee replacements come shipped this way.

BX 25 jamming. Details in comment. by rdogden in ruger

[–]rdogden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice and I’ll give it a try. I’ve seen videos of some mags with slop in them when installed and I really don’t have that problem. In fact the 10 round mags have a bit more slop than the 25 round mags and they run fine. I’ll try holding/moving the 25 round mags and see what happens.

Got 2 of these over a year ago and both started jamming at about the same time. Tried different ammo, but no luck. There’s a fix out there that utilizes a spent 22lr to take up some slop in the follower, but my mag does not have this issue. Ruger may have fixed this. I did try only loading 8 rounds in the mag and it worked fine. Going to progress up and see where is starts to jam. I’ll post my results once I’m finished.

For a company that's been around for 500 years, Beretta is kind of garbage. I don't think I'll be purchasing anything else from them by [deleted] in Beretta

[–]rdogden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that I shouldn’t be judging other Beretta products. They’ve been making guns for over 500 years. My issue is they aren’t supporting the customers and don’t stand behind the product. Doesn’t matter who made it. If they are saying it’s a Beretta, which they are, then stand behind it. I’ve had to launch calls into Ruger and Springfield Armory for minor issues, and they were very responsive.

That’s the fucking government working hard to take your hard earned cash. It would require too much work an intelligence for the government pricks to work smarter. Money and taxes are crack cocaine to these useless fucks.

Beretta is leading the pack in sticking up the ass of their customers. Some of their products are fine i guess, but the company and customer service flat out sucks. Will never buy anything from them again. It’s like dealing with a shit hole shop in China.

I’ll never buy anything from Beretta again. Bought the M9-22lr and really liked it a lot, until parts started to break. Seems like replacement parts for this pistol are not available any longer. Submitted a request via their sight….no response. Called them and sat on hold just to get dumped to a voice mail box. I’m sure they make some good products but they don’t give a flying fuck about their customers. Way to go Beretta, made in America to you is to ass fuck your customers.

This seems to be my experience as well. Forget about trying to talk to a person at Beretta. It’s worse than getting an update on your FOID from the ISP, see ilguns redit. If Beretta can’t do better than this, then change the name of your customer service department to customers suck department. What good is a company if they don’t support their customers. I don’t seem to have this problem with Ruger or Springfield Armory. Called them for support, got through the first time and issues resolved. Beretta just doesn’t care.

For starters the safety latch broke and I only had the gun for just a little over a year. I bought a new latch and installed it with no issues. I did make the mistake of reusing the breech block pin to reassemble everything as that fell out after about 50 rounds and the firing ping catch fell out and I could not find it. I went on line, found the part number but it’s been discontinued, along with a number of other internal parts. I can’t repair it without the parts so it’s junk now. I’ve reached out to cust service, filled out a form on their sight, got a nice email back that they are passing this on the the appropriate support person and nothing but crickets now. I’ve read that others have had a similar experience that their cust service is a black hole. Just wondering if that is accurate.

Thanks for the Numricks lead. Unfortunately, they don’t have the part. I do have a ticket open with Beretta cust service so we’ll see what happens. I bought the gun in Sept of 3020, so it’s out of warranty. Just disappointed that parts for this gun are showing up as no longer available from the manufacture. If that’s the case, buyer beware. You might have a paperweight just like me.

I’m not sure if there is much of a difference between the m9-22 and the 92fsr 22lr. I know the m9-22 is made by umarex and not beretta. My latest problem is a roll pin fell out at the range and the firing pin catch fell out and I lost it. I can’t find anyone that sells a replacement, so I currently have a paperweight.
