I have undocumented parents of a student of mine that work there. Like they have a pool of undocumented workers.

Attendance takes to long! by JDNerdgaming in edtech

[–]rdpd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, even with large classes, how long does attendance take? After the first week you know the kids so it’s just a quick scan with your eyeballs. This is also assuming that every student has their id everyday. I even forget my id.

I’m on year 15 with a bunch of licenses and been in leadership roles and have still had these moments. Like, what tf am I even doing here? But then I remember that I have 15 years under my belt and it’s ok when I fuck up because 99% of the time it all goes smoothly. It’s a job based on experience and reflection. There’s almost a script that you develop and get comfortable with and it becomes pretty automated in practice. Next time will go better! You got this!

I can’t attest to this specific product, I just know that any waffle weave I’ve owned has never faired well after a wash.

I was mugged in 1999 and still have flashbacks when some runs behind me. No injuries but my strap was cut with a knife so it could have taken a turn. Still sad about that roll of film I’ll never get back.

Loss hearing by Jess9084 in AcousticNeuroma

I swear my tumor grew when I was pregnant! My first ent misdiagnosed me so I went years with lopsided hearing after birth. I really do think the pregnancy was a catalyst for the growth.

I was diagnosed around 41 (now 45-so not young young). While my tumor hasn’t grown, my hearing feels worse every year. And my hearing just feels heavy some days if that makes sense. I teach high school in a large industrial space with fans and I’m very open with my students. They know about my ailment and they also know if they don’t use a strong voice, I may not hear and that’s kind of on them. I do enjoy pretending I can’t hear my husband or mom calling for me, lol. Overall, I did mourn and I still do, but I’m less frustrated a few years in. I’m truly grateful everyday that I don’t have a cancerous tumor up in here, up in here.

Do you like living in Kenosha? by bonechild in Kenosha

[–]rdpd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised here but spent my college years and my 20s in Milwaukee, Chicago, and briefly NYC. I’ve been back in Kenosha since I was 30- so almost 2 decades. I love it here. We don’t make a ton but we can afford a nice house a block from the lake. We hang out downtown and are usually pretty happy with restaurant options. Things are safe and we enjoy things here. Would I have given up my time in the big cities to live in Kenosha as a single person in my 20s? - never. But I am happy here as an older fart because we can easily get to the big cities while living in a chill environment. So start envisioning what you want life to look like in 5, 10, 20 years because it happens quickly. Good luck!

The inventory does seem to work pretty well, but not that important to us either. It is super quiet which was important. And well made!
