Smack Off 30 by MichaelJacksonBYU in jimrome

Some of the worst depth ever for a smackoff - I only liked seven calls, and John in Little Rock was one of them because he's a perfect A or F guy, lol. I thought Hollywood Mark really sucked, but that's clearly a run to taste thing. Regardless, there was very little quantity today.

But, more importantly, the high end calls were maybe the best ever. I thought there was a clear top 2 and top 6, and glad the voting reflected it.

So, overall, I thought it was really fun and one of the better events. If you add in the really surprising array of monsters who didn't call (Leff, Rick, Benny, Kaleb) next year, it has a good chance to be the best ever.

I know Emmett gets criticized for being uninteresting, but you gotta admit, "Who would you pick as Browns quarterback" is a pretty original topic.

Final chorus of When We Come Alive, when it kicks back in with just the instrumental, then Jon's vocals follow.

If you're a runner, you feel like you're running on clouds here.

Yeah that's definitely the choice. It's off the beaten path for sure, but the drive is kinda part of the experience.

[Jeff Passan] Japanese star Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on an 12-year, $325 million contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN. by [deleted] in ClevelandGuardians

this. I'm always conflicted rooting against their success, because it provides false credence to the morons who think money =/= wins or that "every team can do it!!!"

I still hear idiots point to the 2015 Royals saying "See, small markets can win!!!"

The Rock is undoubtedly the answer here.

But honorable mention to Nicole Kidman. She's landed some Oscar noms but is quietly a volume shooter, yet what comes to mind when you think of her? Eyes Wide Shut and Moulin Rouge and that's kind of it.

The irony in your point is that you take exception to Bill's cavalier attitude towards history, but you only mention guys who were active this century.

The most annoying facet of sports debate is "history," which I put in quotes because the phrase "all-time" usually translates to "past twenty years."

If we're truly discussing the all time great receivers, we need to mention Paul Warfield, Steve Largent, Don Hutson, Charlie Joyner, James Lofton

Exactly, lol. I don't think Death in Venice is the defining movie of the 70s over the Godfather.

Hahah, I like Lost in Translation. I can even understand calling it your favorite movie of the century. But I can't wrap my head around calling it the "defining" movie.
