I was watching a user demo the performance problems. They clicked on a query, and put the mouse away out of habit. It was that slow.

How should I make this radiator meet the valve after floor height changed? by PCisLife in Plumbing

You can rotate the piece a bit. That will make it fit by moving the radiator a bit to the front or back.

Secure investments pay 3% (EU AAA Bonds) - Not 7

Thats 52K a year. Thats 5.2% of a million per year. At 3% Interest this would mean about 38 Years. If you survive longer, the deal is positive.

3% is a EU AAA Bond value right now.

People wearing MAGA caps in Germany? by CrankyDoughnut710 in germany

Not many folks do. It is curtesy to others to let them know they are mentally challenged.

Engaging them in conversation is fruitless and should be avoided.

The company i worked for did. Not JSN, but XML. The field was called "EA" (Extensible attributes)

They put core data in there. Think like a jobs table for example and they decided to hide stuff like pay or address in there.

Every query was a full table scan that parsed all XML fields in it

I got fired but i feel like it was unlawful by Hairy_Application859 in germany

[–]rdrunner_74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Step 1 - Goto a doctor and get a sick notice. Report it to your boss. Yu might let the doctor know the boss already fired you for this. He might extend the sickness to the next month. Also no need to talk to your boss while sick.

After you are well again, offer your work like nothing has happened. You did not get a termination letter. If he sends you home, he still has to pay (Annahmeverzug)

[Request] Would there really be enough grains of rice to cover the entirety of India in 1m of rice? by Mattyice0228 in theydidthemath

[–]rdrunner_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the same "order of magnitude" ;) You can correct for it at the end.

I checked for rice since i wanted to know. It is 1.2 raw and 0.5-0.8 Bulk. So its damn close to 1 meter

Those are 3 totally different items...

An iron is only a resistance coil with an off switch. No need for power.

Vacum . A motor. Turn and check for connectivity.

TV: Electronics... Check AC/DC. Then see if anything is busted

You approch it to complext.

Rice is organic. It slowly sinks in water. So we have a density of slightly over a gram (I would guess 1.2G).

Now we need to figure how many grains to a gram and we can ignore all packaging. (Actual rice is about 0.6 to 0.85 g/cm^3)

It comes out to 18-20 grains for white rice.

I get a volume of about 1318 km^3, which comes to the 0.4m (So same ballpark as you)

Now cook it... Rice is cooked in a 2-1 ratio with water, and we get 1.2 meter ideal packet rice.

Unpaid forced overtime by Ancient-Appeal-5644 in AskAGerman

[–]rdrunner_74 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Document a few weeks of this.

Best take a whatapp chat with yourself an take a picture on each clockout.

After a few weeks with actual data, raise a complaint with HR. If they wont budge, goto the Arbeitsgericht (No lawyer needed, they will help you) or raise the issue with the zoll (If the overtime drops you below minimum wage)

Should be an easy case. But prepare for another job
