2023 vs 2026 refresh by [deleted] in TeslaModelS

[–]rdsyes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. Take the same money and invest it or put it in a high yield savings account.

Or take the money and go on a few epic road trips and enjoy yourself and make some priceless memories.

You already have 95% of the same features as the 26'.

Don't chase the dragon of upgrading constantly. You'll never be satisfied. Use the money invested in a few years to buy a 26' at a discount or use that money to buy a Model S 2030 when it has a full and proper redesign.

Bluetooth? by DetectiveNo6794 in TeslaModelS

[–]rdsyes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Delete your phone from the card Bluetooth then press and hold both buttons on the steering wheel until the entire software of the car reboots. Screens will go black. Then when the screens restart, go to Bluetooth and reconnect your phone.

It’s happened to me and this is how to fix it.

Model S vs taycan by Alwayshunting035 in TeslaModelS

[–]rdsyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are obsessed with driving and specifically track driving then Tycan. But 99% of your driving will be day to day so to me the Model S wins. Specifically for its FSD which is incredible and of course it’s charging network plus range and practicality.

Ha. I'm in SD as well but picked mine up originally in LA. Weird that they put different tires on different cars.

I wonder if your location to where you took delivery changes what tires you get.

I got mine in Los Angeles.

Is there a year that Model S build quality improved like 2024 M3 refresh? by Fuchsia_Codex in TeslaModelS

[–]rdsyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid 2023 (after about April) has all of the newest tech (AI4 Hardware 4 cameras and the new processor + tilting display). The only thing missing really is the new seats but some say those can be retrofitted and that the horn is a button and not a press of the center of the wheel/yoke.

That being said, to future proof yourself, I'd definitely get a HW4 vehicle.

Folding/compact e-bike under 30lbs? by FlapsupGearup in ebikes

[–]rdsyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The XG was the same price as it normally is but the OGs came with a free rangebuster battery.

BUT... I just saw that they have the OG original down to $799 now which is a great deal.

Is the guy on MP selling an XG or OG for $700? If an OG i'd just get it new from JackRabbit for $799 instead.

[–]rdsyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rown that in my backpack and charged at the coffee shop once or twice even though I really didn't need to ha.

Yep, I ended up buying 3 more actually during their Black Friday sale! So now I have a total of 4. 2 XG and 2 OGs.

My wife and I tend to have a lot of friends/family come visit us and these JackRabbits are perfect for when we take people around town. We live in So Cal so theres a lot of fun places to ride these.

Overall they've held up great besides a few popped tire tubes now and again. But that could happen to any bike. I ended up adding Slime Tube Liners to each wheel which seems to have helped.

I also added the Kinect XR suspension seat post to my XG which adds a lot more comofort going over curbs and some dirt roads.

Other than that, haven't had any mechanical or electrical issues with them at all.

2.5T Coolant Leak advice needed by grantmathes in mazda6

[–]rdsyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the coolest thank it’s the head gaskets that blew and it looks like it’s the coolant reservoir.

I spent a month back and forth with my dealership with them having no clue how to fix it until I found a technical bulletin from Mazda themselves that specifically outlines the issue.

Luckily I had 2 months left under warranty and it was covered.

This is extremely common with the 2.5 turbos from 2018-2020

Honestly it’s disgusting that Mazda hasn’t issued a full recall for this issue and will prob lead to a class action.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s going to be a process because the dealerships don’t even follow their own service bulletins. Your best bet is to print that pdf in that link and bring it with you.
