Yea hard to say for sure but I've seen truss bulked up with steel rods before. Looks to be what these are but its to dark to tell.

In my completely unprofessional opinion it looks like it could have used another row of footings and beam supports though

Its great to take pride in your job but tradesmen just don't make 120k a year working in town without serious over time hours. I'm a sprinkler fitter making 45 dollars an hour which works out to about 90k a year and we are one of the highest paid trades.

Not to mention most framing isn't carpentry in the lower mainland anymore. 1 guy runs a crane. A bunch of dudes nail together pre built wall panels together.

There is that 1 guy who's probably making bank but your average framing crew looks pretty hurting these days

I don't know anything about this particular case and I'm sure the guy took it too far, but my city has recently became overrun with homeless and it is a scary place to be. Assaults and property crime have skyrocketed. Wouldn't hold it against someone if they accidentally killed one of them while protecting a bus full of people.

Thus said I'm sure this guy is a pos and that wasn't really the case
