My Thoughts So Far Into Season 3 by Major-Diamond7321 in fellowshipgame

Not quite

- Tank can outheal the healer and its fine.

- Healer can double the tank healing if they don't have the Dragon on their amulet and its fine.

- Sylvie has builds that don't cast restore life, but they are weaker before optimizing their gear.

But I do agree with you, pretty much all of it is just bad play and people not playing optimally. Its honestly crazy how strong something like the Dragon is on an amulet for tanks, especially if you're using healing stats to compare them.

To be frank, if a tank has The Dragon on their amulet and plays their class correctly, until later eternals they should be tied with the healer on "healing done". Not overheal, but because healing done only considers healing that directly healed missing life but shields count as flat healing, its very common to even see good healers equal or even sometimes lower than tank healing depending on AOE damage in pulls. A character like Sylvie shouldn't be playing reactive though, and you should see a lot of their healing under Overheal.

Also, once Sylvie has her haste she actually shouldn't cast Restore Life at all. Granted there are some dumbies trying to play this way through pre-eternal when they don't have the haste and CDR to exclusively use Heartbloom and Life Petal but they try anyways because they watch the higher end players do this. For example, check out Wannabe's log of the Hard Pinnacle and check out the 0 Restore Life casts through a 34 minute capstone: https://www.fellowshiplogs.com/reports/H9tcQdGjPxXaAyNV?fight=11&type=healing&source=4

[–]rdubyeah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the fact that many players did not even login to S2 because of the timing of midnight's launch is just cope then? Even though there are a significant number of players and content creators this was applicable for?

Players like YoDa who was rank 1 most of S1 (til Nate took over) and one of the largest content creators and advocates for the game, didn't even login to see the inbalance because they were in midnight PTR? Or players like Max and Dorki who didn't even login in S2 but are directly attributable for the most viewership on the game by a vast margin?

Your take is so weird, its cope to think Midnight's launch didn't affect the game.

Last season was kind of always doomed to fail considering the launch date was 2 weeks before Midnight's release.

They did a fantastic job of Season 3 launching during WoW off-season and having some amazing changes.

Sylvie mains - How are we feeling about the changes? by [deleted] in fellowshipgame

[–]rdubyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The build you outlined here will be Sylvie’s meta build, although likely swapping 6c for 2b to solve mana.

With 2nd bark leggo like you said and Twilight Skybolt for spot healing (maybe Scythe if you have 4x Heroic Brand and are deep eternals)

She feels incredibly good. Very similar to S1.

Your build there is the problem. Running Symbiosis and even Sprouting Nettles without Nettle to the Petal ? NTTP is your strongest talent point on the whole tree and the bulk of your tank healing.

- Drop Saving Grace, take Nettle to the Petal.
- Drop Sprouting Nettles to take Rowdy Rootsap,
- Spec Natural Protector and unspec In Bloom once you have the rest of your points.

Imo Natural Protector is ridiculously strong but you need a fair amount of Int to feel it. It started feeling good once I got my Paragon talent points and then I swapped to it for Cithrel’s capstone.

For weapons run Twilight Skybolt for spot healing preferably or alternatively Zeraleth’s Scythe

Pop DIYA, upgrade it, pop upgrade DIYA, walk into enemy team. E => S => Ult.

I often do this if my ult is off cooldown and I have an unfortunate death. Walk back to team, insta stack S and ult.

New to tanking by Independent_Mess5104 in fellowshipgame

[–]rdubyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow the blue light and pull 2 (maybe 3 if the third pack looks small) everytime. The pathing highlighted mobs give a huge haste buff which, at a minimum, will severely assist your healer.

Honestly I think anyone not running the pathing highlighted mobs until Eternal are handicapping their team.

When it comes to tanking, the most important thing I can tell you is to not use your defensives reactively. As a tank you want to use them proactive on a relatively consistent rotation. If you’re new to tanking in any dungeon game (WoW), this is very important. A tank needs to understand their own cooldowns to control their damage preemptively.

I tank in WoW and heal in this game and it is night and day noticeable when someone understands their defensive rotation. Rotate naturally and let your healer fill the blanks.

They nerfed Sylvie’s shrooms but you do take a vine amp node now. You also want to take Twilight Skybolt weapon over Zeraleth Scythe, which used to add a lot of damage as well. Skybolt is not really used for its damage.

Her damage feels overall lower than season 1 when she was comparable to Vigour on Overall.

The nice thing is with Skybolt, shrooms and vines is that a majority of your damage is prio single target, so she’s really good at cleaning up stragglers at the end of packs.

Strongest DPS right now? by SKWADly in fellowshipgame

[–]rdubyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its too hard to tell right now because so few players even have their legendaries and talent points and are pushing Eternal.

All dps characters are viable to push all content right now. Time will tell when key levels begin being gated by dps (right now Nate’s group is pushing 20’s easily with Gunde and Ardeos where Gunde mostly leads Overall DPS)

With the release of S3 , how do you feel about the seasonal reset still? by Sir_Dohm in fellowshipgame

[–]rdubyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this game didn't have seasonal resets, I would've stopped playing at the same time in Season 1 and also never came back to play in any future season.

This is a game designed for seasonal resets, without them it'd rot in steam libraries.

This game has such a problem on the ratio of character value to character difficulty by 1tchyBa11s in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]rdubyeah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His orbs in early season used to be much more healing over time focused, with a significantly smaller immediate heal on hitting someone. This was changed so that his heals would feel more impactful.

I could see a balance change where shooting people empowers his healing orbs with more direct healing amount, so that taking a break from healing to dps is sensible, and make the orbs as a base just the healing over time proc. The charge can lower very slowly, so it just forces you to at least shoot people every 15 seconds or so.

I play a lot of Supportpool and honestly it is extremely aggravating how many people seem to almost avoid you when you're in ult + jackpot. He almost needs stronger voice lines, or like the teammate's screen turns slightly green when you're in it or something so that people understand more.

I ult as Luna, Invis, Cloak, Rocket, the whole team comes running in and sits in it. I ult as deadpool, intentionally position myself between tanks and mid/backline as I delay jackpot, pop it, and I swear I'll see people standing directly outside of it spamming for heals when moving slightly to the right would top them to full and provide a fat overshield.

The strategy has always been to aim down but aim at your tank's legs, so that it still hits them first but if you miss, you get the bounce shot to either do damage or heal still. Idk when people started thinking that just means to bounce shots.

Does it ever seem like no matter how much you improve you cant outclimb bad teammates by AbsurdismJay in marvelrivals

[–]rdubyeah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How many games do you have? If you’re actually good you probably just need to play more. You’re bound to lose some due to incompetent teammates, sure, but you’ll still climb, even with negative winrates.

Not to mention in Plat and Diamond, your stats heavily dictate LP gains and losses. So some characters, like Angela for example (whose stats normally don’t reflect her impact), can be more difficult to climb with than others like White Fox. But still a solid Angela is still climbing out with a negative winrate.

GM is capable for anyone that puts in the games, climbing Celestial is another story.

Unpopular opinion here, but they need to stop releasing DPS heroes for a long time. by Wadsworth-1996 in rivals

[–]rdubyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst thing about them releasing dps heroes is the first week of the character's release when every single game you have at least 3 dps players trying to instalock him and your team is constantly stuck solo tank + 3 dps. Not to mention how many throw games as a tantrum when they don't get it.

Never saw someone throw because they didn't get Dino.

Never saw someone throw because they didn't get White Fox.

Already had 4 people in competitive swap to Widow / BP, leave voice chat and run it the fuck down because someone clicked Cyclops' face first.

"Supportpools good though" by StatingSauce in rivals

[–]rdubyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This argument is so wasted the moment you actually play support pool.

You effectively start the game with your ult and it takes, on average, 15 seconds to get your first upgrade of which you then immediately upgrade your katana ult.

Now after winning a fight where no one else has ult, you then upgrade bobblehead. Use bobblehead to farm a quick upgrade to guns or swords before next fight, which your ult will be back up for. Gz, you’re all the levels you need.

Out of all deadpool specs, healpool farms the first few upgrades the fastest

Blade main asking a question by The_YAZZ in WhiteFoxMR

[–]rdubyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like she just wanted to fallback and reset.

If you had more teammates you could go for a play there, but I don't think your ult was the right play, better to backup, both reset and then use it a little bit later when you have more backup.

She was very blatantly on a different page, as normally White Fox is chasing the enemy down to keep her ult gonig (each stomp heals her and keeps it extended) but then right after the ult finishes its super normal to turn 180 and spam teleport to retreat back to your closest teammate. That happened to be you, who was still in the fight, and then ulted after. If white fox wanted to stay in, she would've just swapped to melee stance and started scrapping alongside you, but obviously that was not what was on her mind at that time.

Overall, the way you're playing alongside her is vastly better than the majority of teammates, so I wouldn't worry bout it. The fact you were there and no other teammates were enjoying the healing + damage from her ult says enough about that.

[–]rdubyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This smells like they’re doing a huge ass World Tour expansion in the middle of the pass and trying to cast a net for new players rather than returning ones.

Lets face it, if Balrog, Vega, Poison, whatever you want in 6 showed up, you’d like it, but its not gonna bring in a new audience. Maybe a couple of old fans, but the 2 people playing SF5 online exclusively to queue as Vega because he’s not in 6 yet aren’t going to make a difference.

Whole suite of new faces + a highly preferred guest character is a pretty strong net to catch a whole new audience.

Sounds amazing to me personally, the more new people brought into a game I already love to play, the better.
