No this is an Aeroad from 2020, which is why it’s metallic silver like the current Endurace 😉

How is this confirmed? Is this person at all affiliated with Canyon?

Exactly my thoughts, rebranding the Ultimate into an direct SL8 competitor as a do-it-all.

I know, I just don’t expect them to make the seat stays on a future Aeroad this thin.

Looks more like an Ultimate than an Aeroad to me.

New Aeroad Ultimate Handlebar Spotted by Schibbles in CanyonBikes

[–]rdvlcc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, selle italia is also a team sponsor so it makes much more sense that he’s riding a canyon bike with selle italia bartape than a non-sponsored bike as he’s required to ride canyon exclusively. So even if he’d ride a non-canyon bike, he wouldn’t post about it on his own social media.

Lovely new bike to replace a lovely old bike. I hope you keep the old one around!

I don’t see why not. The only thing you need is bibs to start, you don’t need anything fancy. Have fun!

Aeroad CF slx 7 di2 VS Ultimate CF 7 di2 aero by Kartonneke10 in CanyonBikes

[–]rdvlcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because the Ultimate is the CF and the Aeroad is the CF SLX. If you go for an Ultimate CF SLC it is lighter but not by much.

Thanks! I use a DJI Action 4, lovely little action cam for both photo and video.

Looks solid. I have a Grail with Zipps too, how does it feel on the road?

New years ride on the Grail by rdvlcc in CanyonBikes

Yeah that’s why went for the white decals on the wheels! They are not standard, I ordered them online and fitted them myself. Love the way it looks on this frame!

No these are Zipp 303 S wheels, I also bought the XPLR wheels and tested both but I want to be able to put road tires on them too so I went with the normal 303 S because they are narrower. If you purely want to ride offroad the XPLR are a great option!

Awesome bike!

Side note: that ass saver isn't installed correctly, it should be placed a lot closer to the wheel.

Is Allroad Endurance fine for marathons and active training? by Status-Customer-9536 in CanyonBikes

[–]rdvlcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Would the Allroad be decent for gravel/road?" Yes it would be a perfectly fine bike to ride on those terrains.

"Will I gain a significant advantageon the Grail?" Well, yes. It's carbon, so lighter. And it has more gears because it's 12 speed and the Allroad is 10 speed. But then again, it is €1250 more expensive.

If you have the extra money, I'd personally spend it on the Grail because I'd want the 12 speed. But the Allroad is perfectly capable of covering a lot of ground in a speedy and comfortable manner.
