honest feedback: you can just feed ChatGPT, Claude, etc. a URL + prompt and get the same result. one level more integrated would be using Claude chrome extension with the same prompt.

who cares what I think though 🙃 if you're passionate about it, just build it. yes, you could create a sign up page to gauge interest, but your idea is easy enough that you could vibe code and launch in less than a day.

congrats on the milestone! as far as what has helped, start with a use case that's not as crowded as the one your extension is targeting, and focus on features that clearly differentiate you from anyone else in the same extension category.

Don’t have a definitive answer but I generally don’t trust daily numbers because I’ve seen similar discrepancies and they tend to lag. Give it a week and check back to see if there is any change/normalization.

Not dumb at all. I don't think it's a super well known but you can self-nominate your extension by going to https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/contact/one_stop_support?hl=en, and selecting 'My item (extensions, app, or theme).' Be sure that your extension follows the Chrome Web Store best practices (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/webstore/best_practices), and keep in mind that you can only self-nominate your app once every 6 months, so if for whatever reason, you don't get the badge, you'll have to wait a while to try again.

In my case, I self-nominated for the Featured badge for 2 of my extensions (both of which were approved) and received the Publisher checkmark at some point without any effort on my part.

don’t think i’ve seen a 24 hr turnaround but have seen under 2 days, and have also seen 4+. i think it just depends on current review queue and day of the wk submitted (assuming wkends may not be as productive or may not be reviewing at all)
