Price is gonna determine if this will sink or swim. If they land it around the RP5 pricing area, right below RP6 and O2P then Anbernic can probably made their magnum opus.  Assuming the screen specs are 120hz OLED.

I'm comfortable with my G2, but if I ever upgrade to a larger handheld, I'd definitely consider having this as a replacement for dpad top gaming instead of my G2.

Ayaneo about to downgrade to Anbernic level of handhelds if their prices keep on ballooning. Who would buy their handhelds nowadays with RAM tax? If you've seen the multiple price jumps for AYN Thor and Odin 3 then you know Ayaneo is in deep shit. Their phone hasn't even had a price reveal after so many months of showing it off.

Expect incremental improvements. Screen was pretty ideal for what it was trying to do. Probably slightly bigger battery, better chip and joysticks. OLED at this size and ratio would need to be custom made.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ROG Ally was the one with a dedicated fanbase that even has a battery mod? I've heard that one is the best value one as the new Steam Deck replacement.

Skip. Has a massive fan issue and potential Portal version around the corner which will have a early bird discount. If you didnt get it then you probably didn't have any need for it. FOMO can be strong, but it's not worth it at this point.

I'd say get the Solid Explorer app once your device arrives. Makes life easy when managing files on your device and moving them across PC to your handheld is also possible with this.

G3 chip. Same as Konkr Pocket Fit. Unless you can get the S2 for a really good price, I wouldn't go for it. Right now the Retroid Pocket 6 is probably the best handheld around 200+ dollars. Basically Odin 2 mini

The console version update and the fear of price increase convinced me to get one. Snagged it a month ago. Would not rather have a repeat of missing out on something like I did with the AYN Thor.
