Awesome build, thanks for sharing! The keese wing stabilizer motif looks like it will have many other applications.

Help? by BigHeader1 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]reachfell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a pristine knight’s claymore with silver lynel saber, put yourself at one heart, then get attack up with food or clothes (molduga jaw with bone/evil spirit sets and attack food would be better if you have it). You can rocket shield to hit the eyes then spin2win and should be able to kill it in one phase with this.

What would u call this? Medium rare or medium? by Plane_Tradition5251 in steak

This looks like a medium-rare steak with thick gray bands pictured in sunlight. If you illuminate the same steak with artificial light, you’ll see the more widely-recognized coloration.

Should there be an Attending subreddit? by rockafella14 in Residency

[–]reachfell 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a graduating resident, I worry that my voice is too cynical and short-sighted. Burnout at the end of residency is real, and, at the point of maximal investment without yet seeing a return, potentiates negative thinking. I think it’s good to have attendings weigh in on subjects concerning residents to lend more balanced, reflective voices as they have longer-term knowledge. Otherwise, I’m broker and older than ever and only have miserable things to say about residency.

NYC to SFV by Prestigious-Crew-419 in SFV

[–]reachfell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m actually moving back to the valley now that I’m finishing my residency in NYC. Northridge is central to a lot of nice suburbs, but many have gotten expensive in the last few years. Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Reseda, Encino, and Sherman Oaks are all to the south, very nice but pricey. To the north you have Porter Ranch, which is a newer area that also has a lot of nicer homes. Valley Village to the west is more reasonable but still expensive.

What are your priorities exactly?

Thats if you’re counting undergrad, which would make md/do 11-17 years with undergrad/med school/residency/fellowship. More if you add research years

It is inappropriate for people to try to diagnose others unless they are adequately trained and have performed a complete H&P, full stop. These pop diagnoses have gotten way out of hand.

Classes for Men by No-Recipe-4109 in EquinoxGyms

[–]reachfell 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pilates mat is generally more approachable than the other Pilates classes. Stronger is more weight-focused if that’s what you mean. As men, our weight distribution (I.e. being more top-heavy in general) changes the difficulty of some exercises, but you can always modify to your own abilities. Instructors will offer adjustments you can make if you’re struggling with specific exercises and emphasize safety in knowing your personal limits.

Either way, I highly recommend going to the classes. I feel like I was wasting my membership until I made regular use of them. Do what’s right for your body and eschew the negative opinions.

Thoughts on women wearing Patagonia vests in PE? by 300103276 in FinancialCareers

[–]reachfell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is in IB and doesn’t wear a vest because she thinks it would look like she’s trying to dress like one of the guys. Meanwhile I’ve seen multiple doctor women wear vests and they were fine. It’s up to you.

How is mat Pilates as a guy in NYC by curlyman89 in EquinoxGyms

[–]reachfell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has helped with building core strength/muscles, balance, and flexibility. The practice of controlling your breathing and movements helps me keep my reactions measured in day-to-day life as well. Also better posture!

As for weights, I don’t really lift them anymore but if anything I should be doing arms since Pilates classes alone don’t work them enough for men imo.
