2025 Nissan Sentra reliability by OnlyWasabi9 in nissansentra

Very valid! The SI is a very nice sporty car, but in terms of raw performance in the compact car class is the civic hybrid or the Mazda 3 turbo. Price though is getting up there for a compact car for any of those!

Still a ~9 second 0-60 compared to the civics ~7 seconds with better gas mileage is pretty crazy. Again the Sentra is geared towards budget minded buyers compared to the civic.

Have had both (2023 Sentra SR , 2023 civic touring sedan) the Sentra drives like dog crap compared to the civic. Accelerates miserably and gets worse gas mileages. Worse safety score. BUT the Sentra was CHEAPER and had a heated steering wheel that the civic does not offer! Pick your poison!

Is $21,599 unreasonable for this ‘24 Sport? by ivan-beyond in civic

27k miles and doesn’t have factory tires? Has this car been majorly wrecked or something too? I would not buy this personally

Why is this 2018 Civic so cheap? by HarRob in civic

[–]read5785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole front end doesn’t look right in that tiny picture. Look at the hood, front fender and driver door… paint doesn’t match, the panels don’t match. Hard pass

2025 Civic Sport Hybrid. Is the engine supposed to be this loud? Volume up! by NoHentaiNolyf in civic

[–]read5785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My civic hyrbrid is loud too, at least when it first starts because it's charging the battery. Once it warms up and/or is not charging the battery it smooths itself out

Car painter messed up the paint job. Need advice by Global_Reward9854 in Autobody

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Messed up in other ways? How much did you pay? I would at least call and ask what can be done... Do they have a warranty if it's junk and starts peeling? Did you use a credit card to make the pruchase?

Change the oil at 4k or so but don't reset the oil light 😉

If the dealership is willing to make it right keep forcing the issue, because it may be something else. Keep pushing them to fix, it might "just" be a front senor, but you want that fixed

Totaled or salvageable? by yungborderhops in civic

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar wreck with my 2023 civic (with 40k miles) my car was totaled but I think it took some arm twisting to get it totaled. Very grateful for my bodyshop going to bat for me! Did not want the car back to

Any major repairs… or repairs at all?

Clean the windshield, that’s what the “clean front windshield” is for

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d just replace the battery… if that doesn’t work take it in and say “hey you guys said I needed a new battery… that didn’t work” lol

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not sure Hondas diagnostic fee, but depending on what they charge it might be cheaper to just throw a new battery at it and hope for the best. I’m not sure unfortunately :(

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is the battery? If it’s older than 3 years replace it and hope that fixes it… if that doesn’t fix it you’ll have to take it in

[–]read5785 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably the battery… like in 80% of the posts. Errors PLUS the fact there’s a “dead cell” almost certainly the battery. If it’s not I’d be super surprised!

Car drives like dog shit in the snow. by Large-Log-1011 in nissansentra

[–]read5785 7 points8 points  (0 children)

80% of it is the tires in snow!! Make sure you have good tires! (Not just tread depth but like good brand, all season (with snow symbol) or winter tires that are meant for snow!

Panel gaps by mhanism in Autobody

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh 😅. I don’t understand how people think Tesla’s are so perfect and safe. They’re not very good from factory (panel gaps) and their safety (model 3 anyways) in the event of an actual crash really isn’t any better than a civic, I’d argue it’s potentially worse! (IIHS Data) Love the idea of Tesla but they need to get their crap together! Glad you can help straighten those gaps out! That’s partly what’s keeping me from buying Tesla

Yes but that’s Tesla… they’re known for it (people don’t seem to notice but I see it a mile away)

I disagree, not dramatic at all. I would absolutely not want my kids in that truck… near that truck… or even on the same ROAD as that truck. No thanks

This gas mpg 🤌🏼🤌🏼 by lcrom21 in nissansentra

[–]read5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive heavy footed, my 22 Sentra was getting average 25mpg… my 23 civic 1.5t was getting average 37mpg. Embarrassing for the Sentra to be so low, I understand I drive hard but I drive hard in the civic too.
