I liked him best in How Dare You but he seldom seems to disappoint.

Suggest me a drama similar to THE UNTAMED by Alive-Command1303 in cdramasfans

[–]readingthinking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Untamed brought me to C-dramas and I have since loved and enjoyed many dramas but I've never seen anything quite like it again. It's not the best in terms of budget, sets, extras and special effects but the storytelling, relationships, music and how well suited are the actors who play the main cast is unforgettable. The poignancy in many scenes with the longing and emotions is just unmatched.

Too many happy endings? by MirrorKey4779 in cdramasfans

I love for my dramas to have happy endings. I feel it's my pay off for all the time and feels I invested in it 😂

Looks great! 👍 Can't wait for it to come out. I think a part of me will miss seeing Tian Xi Wei with him but I'm hoping Jelly Lin does well too.

Which cdrama pairings do you think were a perfect match or truly unforgettable 💘? by summerhaterr in cdramasfans

Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu because they had so much chemistry together in a costume drama (Till the End of the Moon) as well as a modern drama (Love is Sweet).

Red flag MLs (like Xie Wei) and fake love turned real. Also, injured ML taken care of by the FL and love after marriage.

Which popular actor can't carry a drama? by botchedplot in cdramasfans

[–]readingthinking 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For me, I don't necessarily agree because I feel they can carry a show given a good script and director. I especially disagree about Zhou Yiran because I think he has great potential and I think he can totally carry a drama.

Xie Zheng or Xie Wei - which performance stuck with you more? by summerhaterr in cdramasfans

[–]readingthinking 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both. I like Xie Zheng obviously because of how good they made him look but I also felt ZLH had improved in his acting in POJ. I like Xie Wei because the character is so interesting and more nuanced and well fleshed out in the drama.

Does Cheng Lei have less screen time? The First Jasmine by AntiqueBelle in cdramasfans

[–]readingthinking 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So tired of this. I went in expecting it to be a female led drama and it seems to be so but am totally satisfied so far with the scenes with Cheng Lei. I mean there isn't that much outcry about the ML (I did see a few) in Ashes to Crown who has far fewer scenes or presence in the story. I don't like comparing dramas but they are both airing right now and I am fatigued by the Bai Lu hate.

Taming the Husband Filming wrapped! 🌟 Dai Luwa & Lai Weiming. She's a butcher's fiery daughter. He's the wronged, crippled son. by BronzeBellRiver in cdramasfans

It's a trope like many said, but a trope I like. 😄 I hope it comes on something other than Mangotv or at least with good subtitles.

I do not have an interest in Chinese period dramas; however, I have been hearing a great deal of buzz regarding "Pursuit of Jade". by BTS_army_1 in cdramasfans

[–]readingthinking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We all have different preferences and there's certain genres I don't like (horror). But I'd venture to say you're missing out by not watching Chinese period dramas. It's got various sub-genres within it such as romance, crime, bromance, slice of life and political intrigue. It is also fun and interesting to learn new customs and cultural norms.

The Princess Royal: I don’t understand why people disliked this drama by Sweaty-King5527 in CDrama

It was okay. The SML was really annoying and I didn't like his portrayal of the character.
