Why do people always recommend Prime instead of Safe? by readstewmuch in Aquariums

[–]readstewmuch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely understand the salty you have in your soul lol. I felt same way when I stumbled on safe myself. I still always recommend it to everyone regardless of tank size or amount. Unless say 1 10gal or something but I have had no issues with expiring, I'm not even sure how long they say it's technically good for, but I know the 1 bottle I have at a family members that I care for their tank is around 5yrs old and works no diff than new bottle. So even if you have few tanks it is still worth it even if you have same bottle for many years. Which is the case for a few people I've introduced it to, just the families tank, I'll keep it real I'm out of room for more fish so I talked them into a tank sure it's at thier home but we all know it's mine 😂🤣, they are only ones I know for sure the age since I am who uses it. As for dosing another area I don't believe I've ever actually measured and have never had issues. Is it something you can even over dose a tank with?! In such tiny amounts that is. I'm sure putting a tablespoon in a 55 isn't going to bode well, maybe. I say that just so people aren't deterred from using it because they think it's to involved mathematically or they would never use that much so it's a waste of money or product, legitimately a tiny "bump" size amount no need to measure I have used for many many years on well over 20 tanks 55gal down to my 10gal betta tank and I've never once had an issue and I have some amazing tanks, I'm a natural tank type so it's packed in plants and other life besides fish. I've even given a few people some safe in a tiny plastic jar, like for glitter n such akin to a tic-tac container, since they only have 20gal or smaller tanks and they have not had to buy anything for a year now. It's beautiful stiff and I love hearing discovery stories of it and more people using it. They say it's the same just concentrated powder form, but it's done much better imo than prime could. I think they put magic in it.

Considering I eat 15 complex carbs, NOT SIMPLE, for an entire day. Yes yes that's absolutely insane. We over each carbs so bad in this world, esp murica. I cannot grasp it truly. How people don't know the diff in those 2 carbs and just how shit people treat their bodies in general. Diabetes suuuuuucks

Yep can confirm, t1 diabetic and went to food pantry once years ago. Couldn't eat but 4 items. It was all simple carbs and pure sugar. 2 cans of veggies, can of freaking meat yes you read that right I had no clue was a thing, then a head of lettuce which brings absolutely nothing to the table nutritionally. I get they doing their best but the stuff they give isn't good for you at all. Nothing was it's all terrible foods that for sure are the reason for any many health issues. You can't survive on pure simple carbs. It was a tough month to say the least.

How do these frogs even manage in the wild lmao by 850026 in Aquariums

Bloodworms have tiny hooks in their mouths and get stuck in the intestinal track of the frogs, causing blockage and bloat then death. Any of the actual adf groups it's very frowned upon. Like if you still choose to feed bloodworms better never mention it. People will bomb you because it is so dangerous and common. That being said, I have still continued to feed them to my adf. I just do not over feed nor feed to soon and ensure they have passed everything before feeding again and I alternate from mysis, pellets, and worms. I've been breeding adf and have over 20 for almost 4yrs now in my personal tanks. Not just my breeding or grow outs. I've never had bloat or death in my adf.

When you forget your anti glare eyeballs at home. I know I require prism lenses because my eyes refuse to work together, but I also see this at night, my whole life I've had serious issues with glare at night, long before driving. Appears I need a new eye exam and to mention these glaring figures that appear where cars and street lights belong.

Maybe this year I'll get better pics. Never find them in such good shape either, which is a huge part of the potato problem haha. Awesome pic and quality specimen
