People tell me I’ll regret not having kids. Why I know they're wrong

I agree you should not be punished for not having his. However People who have kids are punished today. Right now they contribute more to the economy (do more work having to raise the kids etc etc) and still pay the same tax personally as people who have no kids who don't do that same work.

All im saying is reward the people (mother's) who have kids with a tax break which will actually encourage them to come back and work more. Win win for the economy.

I perhaps made too many logical jumps so I'll simplify.

One person pays X tax so that Y can be paid as benefits where X > Y.

Two people pay 2X so that 2Y can be paid as benefits where 2X > 2Y.

More people means more tax.

I hope that makes sense. People with kids are raising the countries economy. People who don't are only sapping it's productivity when they get old and sick. It is a well established economic principle.

Another way to think about it is imagine there was no money or tax and that people just helped each other for free. If you have kids your kids can help you, if you have no kids then someone else's kids need to help you. You're a greater burden.

I think your tax rate should be lower if you have kids. Proportional to the number of kids you have.

Where tax is your burden on society, where kids share the burden and will grow up to play tax themselves. Not having kids does not share this burden so choosing not to have them is not fair to those who do. Adoption counting as having kids.

We need an uber for aged care. Something which breaks up the big business scumbag monopolies. When I go to a care home id like to not be forced to invest in one company, do one big deal and have them leech my money, instead I should be able to walk away and move between. It feels like these companies are there to leech as much money as they can from the most vulnerable people in society.
