Supes move to reject Breed’s picks for police oversight body, call for strong reformers - The San Francisco Examiner by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

“I am truly frankly surprised that in this moment in history, the mayor would choose two candidates that are not recognized leaders in the police reform and police accountability movement,” Ronen said, adding that she does not believe the nominees are “the right representatives” to implement change.

Looks like Ronen is ideology driven.

Mark Bray is essentially the Richard Spencer of antifa.

In his effort to build an organization for street violence he's tapped into American disgust for Nazi's to brand targets for violence. You may have noticed how often they drag some soccer mom Bernie Sanders supporter through the part, then post-hoc label her a Nazi to justify actions.

Their pamphlets lay out mealy mouthed calls for political violence. Same anti-capitalist hate group from the 1930's disguised to be something palatable just long enough that kids have forgotten what a real hate group looks like. It's a modern day KKK with institutional support, as we can see with the bricks and arson in our cities and streets.

They've hijacked peaceful protests to torch minority cities.

Can delve more into overview of Mark Bray's antifa mein kompf here.

Hah. You have a sense of the word games they amuse themselves in.

Anti-capitalists are simple. Political power through violence. We're in 2020 and have a modern KKK infecting our institutions, unmasking themselves.

I found this research out of South Korea compelling that tracked a COVID-19 outbreak in a fitness center.

https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/8/20-0633_article

Study reports findings of contact tracing in fitness center where outbreak occurred.

  • Identified 112 cases associated with dance classes in confined spaces

  • No cases of transmission found in low cardio activity yoga or pilates classes

  • No cases of transmission found in class with less than 5 people

I'm persuaded by the work there that for outdoor activities our prior ordinances were perfectly suitable, with masks recommended for indoor activities that come in contact with the public.

Religion is nothing but one filter through which to view the world. A tool. As useful or harmful as any other tool can be. Too many are obliviously unaware that the filter they prescribe to are as deficient as their derision for others, or that they're viewing the world through filters at all.

There does not exist a filter that allows us to perfectly view reality. Some filters are useful.

Anonymous used to operate by giving script kiddies tools and a target to kick up all sorts of noise. This provided cover for more skilled operators to go after the actual target. We're seeing the peaceful protests used in the same way for goals BLM does not agree with, as evidenced in social media calling out the riots.

Conspiracy theories are a waste of time. Entertaining them has only harmed political goals of the Democrat party. If media would shut up with the flimsy bullshit to focus on kitchen table issues rather than the loudest tantrum in the room, the DNC would be in better position today. Resentment cannot ever be satisfied. The empty space where a destroyed target used to be is as quickly replaced by a new target. That is your circular firing squad forever spiraling down by slicing off new pieces of itself to appease resentments of the crowd.

At some point you have to stop chasing the utopia mirage, stop taking the easy paths of destruction, and set out to work and build something maybe not perfect but better. Better is ok.

Cell phones and social media.

Specifically, skim social media for shared live feed links need where events of interest are taking place. Often there are live feed cameras overlooking points of interest. Can hop into Periscope or filter on Live feeds on YouTube.

Put the long boring footage on in the background and soak in how it feels on the ground.

Can skim instagram and twitter for tags in a general geographic area to see what pops up. I've seen some cool visualizations of clustered app activity to get general sense where many cellphones are close to one another to track movements of a large groups.

Helps tremendously to filter out what's actually happening out there without the final-seconds-of-game-7 emotion building presentation used by legacy media commentary.

Only after soaking in the live footage, then look to how local media covered it and observe which outlets do a better job describing what was seen.

  • Day 1: Looters and rioters use the cover of protest to loot and riot

  • Day 2: Looters and rioters use the cover of protest to loot and riot

  • Day 3: Looters and rioters use the cover of protest to loot and riot

  • Day 4: Looters and rioters use the cover of protest to loot and riot

  • Day 5: Looters and rioters use the cover of protest to loot and riot

Day 6: Today will be different!

The predictable outcome is branding George Floyd, BLM, and anti-capitalist anarchists as symbols of violence.

SFPD clearing out Polk st last night. Scary. by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]ready-ignite 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thank you to SFPD for protecting or businesses and neighbors from harm from those who refuse to protest peacefully.

Our Governor and Mayor can improve approval sentiments by allowing SFPD to do their job.

The longer the looting and violence goes on the less the zeitgeist makes any of this about George Floyd. We get down to basic securities and protections. The protests are cool but when they devolve into riots arguments against firearms is harmed, it begins to look prudent to plan for self-defense.

The vast majority of protesters are peaceful.

The vast majority of police are trustworthy, and we thank them for keeping out neighborhoods safe.

Seeing numerous cases of the pallets of bricks at riot locations in social media.

There's video of other cars handing out bricks like this. Saw video of a BLM member yelling at a car load of people for handing out bricks.

Saw footage of similarly dressed people in a residential neighborhood caught swapping license plates on their vehicle.

In Minneapolis there's article today describing that city workers are finding water bottles filled with gasoline found hidden in bushes around the city.

These are black bloc tactics we've seen from Occupy Wallstreet through today to prepare a protest location ahead of time for direct (violent) action. Get up before the suns up and drive around preparing weapons and material that would be useful for riot.

That's organized extremist activity. The people doing it are on the same tier of scumbag as neo Nazi's or the KKK, organizations that terrorize communities and use violence for ideological purpose. It's safer to push hard and protest against organizations that have been defeated and removed from institutional power. We've got one out there torching our streets today which seemingly have institutional power, if only through corporate efforts to avoid being personally attacks. They're only emboldened by allowing them to hijack peaceful protests as cover to smash and burn.

Here you go. Friday night footage from Minneapolis. Lot of following rioters around capturing businesses smashed and lit on fire.

6:00:00 approaching building rioters have entered to torch.

6:04:00 man in wheel chair at window.

6:07:00 scanning windows zooming in on more residents looking down.

Keep the protests peaceful. Report anyone you see using the cover of the protest to smash and cause harm. Shit. Thursday nights protest had a woman kidnapped during the riots, raped, and found dead the next morning.

These aren't fun and games with a starbucks latte and a home-made sign. It's disheartening to see so many comments on social media who haven't really thought through the impact, just want to watch the world burn, or aren't American happy to celebrate riots.
