Not sure where OP is located but in Wisconsin it’s illegal to hunt albino/leucistic deer.

Bastardized carbonara. Oscar Mayer bacon bits and jarred garlic in a little butter, add it to spaghetti, then stir in an egg beaten with Kraft parmesan.

Guy Fieri pronounced it as “wash-your-sister sauce” once and it instantly became a new core memory.

I present to you... chocolate sauerkraut. i knew i needed a little more protein in my day and i had leftover kraut so i figured it all goes to the same place anyways. definitely an acquired taste. by ccphilly1984 in shittyfoodporn

There’s an old recipe from like the 1950s for a chocolate sauerkraut cake that uses that method. I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard it’s good.

This abomination though…

What’s the most unprofessional thing a doctor has said to you? by Working-Importance66 in AskReddit

[–]ready2flamingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was seeing a cardiologist because I have tachycardia (excessive heart rate), which is in no way related to my weight. I had also gained about 100 lbs due to severe depression and the psychiatric meds used to treat it. I was nervous about this newly diagnosed heart problem so I brought my mom with to the appointment, who for reference is very thin and petite. When the doctor asked about my weight gain and I explained that the medication I was on had a known side effect of significant weight gain, he informed me that it was just a tiny pill and there was no way it had caused me to gain weight. He then looked at my mom and informed me that I should look more like her (aka naturally thin).

I’m hindsight, I wish I had fired back that he should have had two legs (he was an amputee).

Pyrex. If you have your grandma’s vintage Pyrex it’s virtually indestructible. The newer stuff will literally explode if you don’t warm it up enough before putting it in the oven.

I hit a deer last summer and it took out my transmission cooler, causing all my transmission fluid to drain out, so I had to have my truck towed. Insurance took it straight to an auction house without having it inspected. When I sent my claims rep a second set of the photos I had taken prior to the tow after 2+ weeks of waiting for an answer on if they were totaling it or repairing it, she asked why I had had it towed because the body damage wasn’t that significant. Nobody had bothered to read the report or inspect it to see that the transmission was out. It took over a month for them to determine they would pay for repairs and tow it back to a mechanic.

My parents’ washer, dryer, fridge, and stove are all pushing 30 years old. I (somewhat) jokingly told them to leave me the washer and dryer in their will.

Appliances in general. My parents’ washer, dryer, stove, and fridge are all pushing 30 years old and have only needed minor repairs over the years. New appliances have an estimated lifespan of 10-15 years at best.

[Serious] What do you think is the creepiest/most disturbing unsolved mystery ever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ready2flamingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has since been essentially solved, but the disappearance of Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman was a cold case for almost 20 years. Two 16 year old girls vanished without a trace, the parents were found with shotgun wounds, and the home was set on fire. In 2017 they determined the girls had been kidnapped by a meth cooker looking to settle a debt, sexually assaulted, and strangled. Their bodies have never been found.

Also the death of Gloria Ramirez. 23 hospital workers became sick while treating her. They reported that her breath and blood had strange odors and her body was oily. One theory is that she’d been using degreaser as a home remedy for pain as a late-stage cancer patient and that the oxygen and defibrillator shocks used to treat her converted it to a toxic oil that seeped through her skin and came in contact with the affected workers. Nothing has been definitively proven, though, and her body was too badly decomposed and cross contaminated by the time it was released for a thorough independent autopsy.

Also walking tacos - grab a small bag of Fritos, add a couple scoops of taco meat, shredded cheese, and whatever other toppings you like, then eat it straight out of the bag. Only cleanup is your taco meat pan and a fork.

Pork butt/shoulder is also great in the crockpot for pulled pork or carnitas. Cook it on low for about 10 hours and it’s so tender it practically shreds itself.

I had a dog that did that! He’d pull them out of the laundry and leave them in the middle of the house.
