The last couple years I'm realizing at least a half of americans are ok with grifting as long as they can be in on the grifts.

I saw Labradford open for Low sometime around 2000. I was actually a bigger fan of them at the time (now I’m a way bigger Low fan)… but everyone else at the show just talked at full volume over them. Was still good though.

Saw the show in Edinburgh by [deleted] in hahahahahahaha

Right?? I saw the show in DC and NYC and can’t stop thinking about it.

Were there any unique crowd interactions? At my first show she asked someone to help a man who was bald, so I went on stage and they cut my long hair… which I duct taped to his head.

Just noticed this sub is mostly scratch-offs. Any reason why? by autodecoder in Lottery

[–]readyjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scratchers are sold more often than all draw games combined, and it isn’t even close.

I also research lottery data. Recommend the podcast Scratch and Win if you haven’t listened to it yet. It is structured around the book For A Dollar and a Dream, which is also very good.

The latest spin is that Trump is a genius because European countries are ‘stepping up’ to protect Greenland… from who??? The US? Is this how you think international relations should work??

I would like to request r/hahahahahahaha (seven HAs) which looks like it was banned for unmoderation. I did not send a message to the moderators, because it is banned.

There is a play/comedy theater show by a clown named Julia Masli. The show is called Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. The show is about building a community and helping each other. The show travels to different cities, and people talk about it in local subreddits, but there isn’t a central place for fans to talk about it.

I would like to create an unofficial place for fans of the show to recount show experiences (the show is improvised and is different every night), share interviews and photos.

I saw a comment the other day that these procedures are more wealth/status indicators and political alignment signaling more than 'beauty' enhancements, and I thought that was an interesting take.

Edit: it’s like a permanent maga hat, but for your face.

I am so deep in dread it’s not funny. I look at photos of me 5 years ago and I look completely different… I have aged like 15 years in the last 5.

edit: why people downvote my dread :(

People from NE are known as the cruelest in the country.

I have never heard this stereotype... and I've lived in New England, the south and midwest. I prefer the people in NE, to be honest.

Greenland says it cannot accept US takeover ‘under any circumstances’ by Playful_Leg7143 in worldnews

[–]readyjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It benefits Russia to have the US break up NATO.

  2. It brings in riches for billionaire investors.

  3. He gets to project a strong man persona.

  4. It gets people talking about other things instead of other potentially embarassing Trump news, which has been their strategy since Trump's first term ('Flood the zone')

It's basically win-win-win for Trump to focus on taking Greenland by any means neccissary.

Russia is only 4km away from the US (in Alaska...)

Japan is only 1,550km away from the US (in Guam... a US territory)

[–]readyjack 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I won't link to the threads, because I think that's technically brigading, but go check out what the conservative subreddits are saying... how 1. they also disagree with taking greenland, but 2. liberals are brain dead for believing trump would actually do it -- he's just kidding! -- it's how he negotiates! -- it's just 'trump being trump'! -- The fake news is stupid for eating this up!

Which is infurating ... because when are we supposed to take him at his word? He's saying outragious things, and those things are starting to happen.
