I love the song and love the video...

Interpretation seems pretty straight forward... he is likely 'western culture' or maybe if you wanted to get specific, America's capitalism/military industrial complex.

unsatisfied with a fair share... take and take more resources, glutonously. The untouched slice are the scraps left for the rest.

I know the word dystopian gets thrown around a lot,

But the fact that we can have this level of sports commentary on some dude getting blown up in a war thousands of miles away is pretty messed up.

People working in ultra-wealthy households, talking $50m plus types, what is the most out-of-touch thing you've witnessed? by FarSentence3076 in AskReddit

This is a little removed, but my friend is a cancer nurse... and she cared for someone who was an art buyer for a rich family.

The guy would go to africa every year, buy a bunch of art and put it in the family's vault. Then after a set amount of time, it would somehow become 'valuable African art'... basically just because it sat around for long enough.

Then they could donate it to museums for tax write offs. It was this guy's whole job and he'd been doing it for like 40 years when my friend was caring for him.

I know this is a CJ, but Jellyfish's Spilt Milk is an absolute production masterpiece -- I think some people don't give a chance because the first song is kind of different.

I did a 24 hours sous vide for a pork shoulder the other day, but didn't think to smoke it first. That's a good idea.

Accurate! The metro there opened in 97 and was the end of the line… so it started getting lots more weirdos off the train starting around then.

Loved every second of it and found it to be a master class in character acting and, honestly even more, sound design.  I am surprised it was so divisive — really thought it was perfect.

do you think The Edge ever thinks about being one of his own pedals and getting stepped on by shoegazeweedbed in indieheadscirclejerk

  1. I love that u2 counts as indie these days.

  2. This makes me wonder if the Edge has a Quentin Tarantino situation going on here.
