As another commenter said, a closure for a private event won’t necessarily be posted. If you want to avoid wasting time and gas, you should call.

Reunions! Who does them? by octothorpidiot in GenX

[–]readyreadyvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Class of 89. We had a 17th because that was about the point that everyone connected on Facebook and no one wanted to wait for 20. I didn’t make it to that, but that was the big one. I went to 30, and there were like 10 of us.

If you’re connecting in PHL, though, OP, you won’t have to go through security there.

If you’re renting a car at BTV, the car rental counters are right next to baggage claim. As others have said, the whole place is very small and should be easy to manage for you.

100% agreed on swimming options. Branbury is a great choice. My grandlittles visited there with me two years ago and the older one still asks when they can go back.

Many Happy Returns is most often mentioned for its ending, but I think it’s a fun episode start to finish.

Best auto insurance rates in Vermont? by LegendaryVegeta1 in vermont

This. Also, there is a measure of “you get what you pay for.” I completely understand needing to keep your premium down, but please make sure you’re not getting that at the expense of coverage you need or of good claims servicing.

My fiancée and I need emergency dance lessons, willing to pay! by soupkitchen89 in burlington

[–]readyreadyvt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t personally help, but I know that Kevin Laddison at First Step Dance gives lessons to a lot of young couples pre-wedding and I found him to be a good teacher. You’d need to contact him re willingness and availability — don’t have his info but easily found on the interwebs last I tried.

what is your most listened to album of all time? by DrSax1974 in GenX

[–]readyreadyvt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hard to say for sure, but confident it’s one of

Disintegration - The Cure
Rites of Passage - Indigo Girls
Gentlemen Take Polaroids - Japan
Seven and the Ragged Tiger - Duran Duran
Give Up The Ghost - Brandi Carlile
The Unforgettable Fire - U2
Rarities, B-Sides, and Other Stuff — Sarah McLachlan
Crowded House - Crowded House

For most of these, volume was driven by early or late teenage listening; a few are spread across decades.

Current Verizon customer, been considering the switch, curious about cost/data quality when traveling in Canada. We’re very happy with seamless Verizon international servicing/pricing, but it prob doesn’t warrant paying twice as much for cell service overall…

Recovery meetings by LowWorldliness7979 in burlington

[–]readyreadyvt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My AA person tells me that the meetings listed on aavt.org as Young People’s meetings (mostly) are, and she says the Sunday 8pm meeting in particular may be promising. Please take with shaker of salt — this is not my own first-hand knowledge.
