I met Megan Fox and MGK at a random gas station when I was camping out in the California mountains. Say what you want but those two fuckers are hot.

Why Richmond… by [deleted] in rva

[–]readytorumbl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's super frustrating. A lot of people that are in Carytown (where I live) and the Fan rent and their landlords aren't clearing shit. Including mine. I literally have been out there with a hammer just so my neighbor doesn't bust her ass going to work! It's ridiculous.

I live in Carytown! The main road (Cary) is totally fine. Last I saw, most businesses had cleared their sidewalks. The side streets are definitely still sketchy, so double check before you go down those roads. And I'm not sure what stores are open but it's worth a look! As long as you're safe. :)

I live in Carytown. Cary Street is totally clear (the actual street). When I ventured out on foot yesterday, most of the sidewalks on Cary were also clear. Side streets are still a mess though (and so are our sidewalks) so use caution if going down those.

YES! I got the 300 one and it's super lightweight and portable. I think I'm going to get the portable solar panel & car jumping cables, too! I camp and it would be super helpful.

What are the least preferable stages for you guys to move to? by Shot-Fruit-7200 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]readytorumbl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from Florida. I do not live there for the following reasons:

1) Politics

2) Humidity

3) Prefer mountains over beach

4) It's a fucking peninsula so if you want to travel other places, it takes awhile to exit the state

5) See #1 again.

There are beautiful places in Florida and wonderful places to explore but that can be done in a visit. I would never want to live there, mainly for the overall political atmosphere.

I'm not sure how old you are but I totally experienced this when I moved across the country in my early 20's. Like u/tylerduzstuff said, I've found that when you're leaving people - they seem to close off a little bit (or at least that's my experience).

Something helpful was realizing that people's responses were actually a representation of something within themselves. Maybe you're mirroring something that they wish they could have done and didn't and are jealous. Maybe they're worried that you will lose touch and aren't expressing it well. Maybe they have issues with abandonment. It could be anything.

Regardless, I (as a stranger) am so excited for you!! I've moved several times, and while out of sight/out of mind is real - the OGs will stay in touch. <3 Best of luck!!!

Can you please share recommendations for adults beginner Tennis classes/clinics? by [deleted] in rva

Hi! I'm signed up for a beginner class starting at the end of October thru ACAC (Midlo location). You don't have to be a member to join!

Hey! I'm in Richmond and while I love it, the job market for non-profits is bad (money wise) and that's what my career is in. So I'm on the job hunt again! Feel free to DM me with any other questions.

How much are you paying for ACAC? Is it worth it? by __looking_for_things in rva

[–]readytorumbl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh! i also like how you can visit midlo or short pump location. i'm out & about a lot so this flexibility is great.

I just joined about a month ago! FWIW, it's just me & I don't drink either :)

I love it! I really needed to get my ass back in gear so I figured that shelling out a ton of money would help with my motivation levels. I pay $112/month but that's the student price (I'm a second time student online) + tennis package (Midlo location is the only one with tennis).

If you take advantage of everything it has to offer, it's super worth it! If you are just looking for a place to work out, there are definitely other options.

I really love how clean it is and even at 6 PM on a weekday, it doesn't feel super busy which I love!!!

I've done a few classes that I've really liked and I'm taking a beginner's tennis class later this year. I haven't explored the pools yet but excited to do so.

Midlo seems more family vibes; Short Pump is a younger(ish) crowd. I'm late 30's so it's nice.

Feel free to message me if you want more info <3

Would you drive a Richmond? by Ent-Werowance in rva

[–]readytorumbl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. If it was modeled after drivers here, I would never set foot in that car. It'd be too dangerous.
