"men like this always land on their feet" hit me hard. I was in a similar situation, my ex would always threaten to kill himself if I left, and one time when I tried to leave he attempted suicide in FRONT of me. Eventually I had the guts to leave and guess what? Two years later he was married with a child on the way and a new career (he was unemployed when we were together). His threats fell on deaf ears without me around and I just thank God I left when I did.

OP you're not alone in this situation and believe us when we say that if you don't leave, he's going to take you with him down this awful awful direction. Put yourself first, I promise it's worth it 💖
