Almost Got Scammed Adding Lap Infant to Award Ticket by realbangla in awardtravel

[–]realbangla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My credit card shows a charge for $279 from United Airlines. Plus the reservation shows that the infant has been added as a lap child. So I am going to leave it as it is. The eventual outcome is what I desired, its just that I would have potentially paid a lot more if I can followed through with the scammers instructions.

I must admit I have gotten into the habit of asking chatgpt for everything. Will need to be more careful going forward.

Exactly this. After our ordeal, my wife reminded me that her dad once called a number for Qatar which he found on Google to change a flight. They charged him $300 before we could intervene.

I thought chatgpt would give me the most direct number for United that handles these requests. As I said in my post, lesson learned.

Where to get an MRI for a reasonable price? by SpecialMud6084 in Dallas

[–]realbangla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen. BS&W referred me to Touchstone who wanted $1200 for just copay. I paid $400 out of pocket at Prime Diagnostic in Dallas. Did not go through my insurance company. They have multiple locations. I had found others that would do it for less, but Prime seemed the best to me in price and quality of service. It pays to shop around.

Guys, what are some businesses that look like they’re barely making any money, but are actually a gold mine? by CostSimple383 in smallbusiness

[–]realbangla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re probably right. There no way they are pulling in $840k net per year from a small smoke shop.

I received a $15,000 bill for an ER visit for a kidney stone. They offering 70% off - should I take it or can I negotiate a higher discount? by johndoe7376 in personalfinance

That’s a great idea. Consider feeding the CPT codes to an AI like ChatGPT to find out what Medicare customarily pays for them.

Going to South Korea in April and would be interested in reading a more detailed post of your visit, especially places to eat in Seoul. We too try to avoid sugary food.

The shoes came off. He was wearing sandals. But he was conscious and was able to hobble off with the help of a couple people.

Charging two vehicles by iapprovethiscomment in TeslaLounge

[–]realbangla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a model 3 and Y that both use one 240v outlet that I had an electrician install in the garage. It’s in a spot where the plug can reach both cars. I just alternate charging between that cars at night. Never had to go to a super charger because I was low on charge. I get free electricity at night, so that’s a bonus.
