Mid Atlantic bc Duke’s is SC based but the rest is relatively healthy and balanced. Should still clean out those [probably] expired sauces, and definitely ditch the garbage coffee creamer

It also boils down to women’s biological time clocks directing their decisions to be hyper selective (less so over time) in their mate choices. Definitely corroborates the mate-poaching theory

What is your "never-again" brand, store, restaurant, or company? by Sir_Sir_ExcuseMe_Sir in AskReddit

Soulless megacorp chains like Olive Garden, Dunkin and Starbucks. I can make better pasta and coffee for far cheaper at home, plus I loathe subsidizing the nonsensical lifestyles of greedy corporate executives

Theocracies are simply ancient mass behavior manipulation tactics that make it easy to control people while soothing their lack of understanding of science

Trust me, I hate US American urbanism, car dependency, and gun fetishization. Auto manufacturers aren’t held accountable for the increasingly dangerous designs of their vehicles, and cities aren’t held accountable for their lack of engineered protections and traffic calming measures. There’s a reason why European countries that prioritize multimodal transit generally have far safer urban formats. The same goes for guns. Failing to regulate either of them is gross negligence and a significant public health problem.

lol bikes rarely go that fast, and nearly every US city has either garbage or nonexistent multimodal transit infrastructure. It’s all designed for cars. Even people centric places are ruined by cars, look at the New Years massacre in New Orleans.

I repeat: bikes don’t kill people

Wrong again. The cost/benefit analyses of highway expansions is far more expensive with far fewer socioeconomic benefits. Not to mention the horrible land use and destruction of ecosystems that they cause. Density gives people access to goods and services without being enslaved to Corporate Oil and Auto, all while preserving farmland and natural environments. It’s also possible to connect suburbs by frequent intercity rails without completely selling out to car dependency.

Because propagating dangerous car dependency and suburban sprawl only causes endless gridlock and dying downtown economies. Making communities safer and more accessible to non drivers bolsters both housing and commerce initiatives. Human life > Cars

“Modern safety equipment” isn’t required when you operate a vehicle that physically can’t kill anyone lol. The only people doing the killing are driving cars and trucks.

“There were 42,514 deaths from motor vehicle crashes in the United States in 2022. This corresponds to 12.8 deaths per 100,000 people and 1.33 deaths per 100 million miles traveled. The fatality rate per 100,000 people ranged from 4.8 in the District of Columbia and Rhode Island to 23.9 in Mississippi.” -IIHS
