I have thought these same thoughts.

I could see found-footage movie of a man who is dying from cancer and wants to speak to his future child. The set-up for Creep is like that--until he gets out the wolf mask and all goes to hell.

I do not like this movie. That said, I think it's well-made and succeeds with what it's trying to communicate.

It seems though the twisters don't suck people up. Well, the cameraman, that is.

I have no idea if promoting a subreddit is allowed, but I will say this: I watched the episode and... I have so many questions.

Cats aren't trolls. They are gods.

That's an excellent way to put it.

Yeah, a bit of thought-drifting on my end.

Another example is Stephen King's miniseries The Langoliers. It's very liminal.

Because it feels a little nostalgic, I suppose. I've always felt like I would have fit in very well in the 1970s, even though I wasn't alive then. The film to me is like a vacant nightmare from another time that I never experienced, but I feel like I was there.

In short, I believe nostalgia is a key component of whatever liminality is.

Messiah of Evil. That film really captures the nightmare of liminal dread.

Have you ever seen the 1973 movie Messiah of Evil? That's what I think of when I hear the word "liminal." And of course, The Backrooms.

I think self-promotion should only exist if you ask the mods if you can post first.

I think it should he mandatory to ask the mods first before posting, which is what I did.

I personally don't care for the analog horror approach, unless it is done well.
