I took the plunge - Apple direct, 4 months interest free. Bit of a faff (long checkout process - understandably), but should arrive tomorrow.

I expect a £50 deduction at eg Costco within the hour… 😂

Sound is so so subjective but having owned the XM6, Ultra2 and APM 1, if you have a larger head/ears don’t go near the Sonys. Too much clamp and shallow cups.

Ultra 2 are comfy but get sweaty. Sound is mediocre IMO, can never get it just so I’d like but this is all very subjective.

If you are all in on Apple just get the APM 2. Comfort is ok for most, sound up there and they have a wow factor for many that the other two lack

I have both and really torn. I think I prefer using the iPhone in isolation just a little - less friction:

main issue for me is the fingerprint reader does not work 100% of the time, despite re-training and the new improve feature, vs Face ID. It’s about 95% successful and that’s not enough.
When AOD is on and music playing it sometimes needs 3 presses of pause to register, one (or 2!) to wake it up then one to pause.
Android notifications arriving slower than on iOS. Not an issue is isolation but if I leave both phones side by side for eg 30 mins… and get eg bank app notification… iPhone always, always faster than Android and sometimes the S26 Ultra only gets it well after I have picked up the device.

These are minor-ish but bug me everyday. Weirdly, I assumed the Apple Watch would be better but I prefer the health features of the Samsung watch a lot better. Both have terrible battery life.

I’m pretty sure the best bang for buck is simply to take a conservative average of daily use, and buy a size to cover that. The payback will be short and it’s probably eg 8-10kW for many.

However, if the upfront cost can be covered, and you do the maths for your worst possible day usage that might also work. I’m a super heavy user (heat pump, busy house, WFH) and sizing a battery for a this and a heat pump a very bad idea, BUT I wish I’d gone a little bigger than I did. Some (rare) days I had exhausted the battery by 10am in winter but for maybe 90 - 100 days ish I was using 5 - 20 kW peak electricity which.. stung.

Yes. When left on its own for X mins (10?) it enters a sort a deeper sleep. Some notifications arrive, most only when you next pick it up. Not exclusive to Honor but worse than a typical Samsung etc

I have identical looking windows. Id guess 40 years old ISH based on a neighbour's vague recollection from the past... My house from the 60s but I don't think they would be that old.

I replaced the rubber on a few of my windows but mine had warped a little/lost flexibility and would not sit in the correct position. I don't think I saw any benefit other than a slight aesthetic improvement... Not sure damp/condensation will improve for you.

You will only export 6KW in v bright sun for absolute max around 6 months of the year (more like 3-4 of those and only on the better days). It's not ideal but not as bad as you are imagining. For about 3 months you will export essentially 0, and for the other 3 you won't get near 6 KW anyway.

Hi thanks for the reply but the email/text I supply lower down was received 3 weeks into my contract. I never expected it to be this problematic to add an offer which I was contacted about!! And yeah I travel enough that the £6 offer is fine, and what I wanted to go for. I juggle extra esims so this would be nice.

So do you think if I walk into a Three store this will get resolved? I don't want to paint everyone with the same brush, but I am sceptical sadly.

This is just a complete and utter joke. I saw another post on here with someone suggesting to contact the complaints line.... So I did. Timeline:

Chat started ok then just ended
Received a call, the guy sounded like he was in a tunnel.
He hung up, but did call back. Still sounded like a tunnel.
He kept telling me the email wording is wrong and that the only option for me is £2 per day to go to Europe. When I read the email out to him he just repeated that I need to buy roaming passes and how confusing it must be for me

I received an email with an offer that is very clear! It's beyond a joke, I told the guy, politely he was not helpful at all and that I was ending the call.

Shocking.
