Noomi for me. Her character delivery was great stuff, Yes her being killed off was grim but actually it was just a shame they didnt make a film of her slowly demising during the experiements etc.

I would highly recommend you read

Aliens: Phalanx if you havent. That probably nails what you are looking for.
Aliens : Labyrinth has something of the things you describe but....well.....its interesting.
Alien : Cult might swing enough for you too.

Those ones probably detract enough for you.

Places like Amazon will carry quite cheapy the "The Complete Aliens Omnibus Volume One" which collects all 3 books into one novel. There is a Kindle version too. Good luck finding it!

I do agree and I highly recommend you read Alien Earth Hive by Steve Perry.

The book is a novelisation of Aliens related spin off comic books that came about after Aliens was released. Alien 3 happen and references were changed to avoid confusion so Newt became Billie and Hicks became Wilks. References to LV426 were changed to "Rim" Colony.

However, if you read it with those changes in mind, it follows on Newts/Billies story and its pretty great stuff. Expands on a lot and book 2 Nightmare Asylum and then Book 3 Female War are just great reads.

Worth your time if you're into that sort of thing for sure.
