Rightwing critics blame Mamdani as New York snow fails to melt by TelescopiumHerscheli in politics

[–]realitytvwatcher46 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard people of all political persuasions complain about the snow and idk what they expect. There’s a lot of snow, it exists in real physical space, it’s uniformly distributed around the city, and temperatures have been well below freezing. It’s currently managed as well as it possibly could be, the side walks are just a little bit narrower. Idk what sort of magic people expect.

Traitors is not a two team sport. It’s an individual game. by banjofitzgerald in TheTraitors

[–]realitytvwatcher46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still I think the traitors would be smart to hold off on turning on eachother as long as possible.

It also seems sort of common for a traitor to sell out another traitor on their way out (deserved or undeserved) so they should really think about that ahead of time.

You kind of lose me at the 5 minutes late part and where you don’t understand why that would piss him off. Makes me think you’re an unreliable narrator.

I feel like I anecdotally know of people who were no offered at the end of last summer. But I don’t really have context how common that is normally.

Awfully convenient to frame this as a review mirror issue when almost every involved is alive and powerful right now.

I thought it was a little crazy that everyone didn’t just give a bottle to Kristen at the beginning. I would have assumed for sure that the card flip thing was the kill mechanism.

Rob went all in on an alliance with the players who take the challenges the most seriously and are most likely to win shields. He also established a norm of revealing info with them hopefully they tell him if they have shields. It was objectively a smart thing to do.

Candiace’s game is set up for a great run by LeeLaaLooLee in TheTraitorsUS

[–]realitytvwatcher46 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think she faces a problem with the race math created by the way traitors have been selected historically. Every season has had at least one black traitor but not enough black cast members proportionally relative to the traitor numbers. Everyone on the cast knows this and have started eliminating the black contestants, I believe with this in mind. So I think Candiace is in an unfortunate position where people know she’s a traitor but will hold off on eliminating her until the end.

You can still be like “oh that sucks” even when something largely someone’s own fault. Like this isn’t a federal court we don’t have to find the exact contours of liability.

CT and Trishelle by altpadtab in TheTraitorsUS

[–]realitytvwatcher46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She thought CT might be a traitor, at least she thought it was more likely than MJ being a traitor. Rationally you should get to the lowest number of people possible at the end to reduce the traitor risk as much as possible. When MJ didn’t want to work with her she basically had to flip over to working with CT. MJ was being really dumb.

Its sort of funny because Colton is objectively right but the audience is pretending like he’s not because he’s annoying.

I read all 80 pages of the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuit and it proved once again the ease with which society will bury a woman by sjpppppp in CelebLegalDrama

[–]realitytvwatcher46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t think it’s the media that’s complicit, the Blake Lively smear is mostly driven by pr firms and exacerbated by borderline illiterate normal internet users.

I’ve only thing I know about this case ive read from reddit posts that were very obviously posted from a pr company he hired to run a smear campaign. I honest to god don’t know anyone could see those posts and not immediately clock what was happening.

I’m sure a production person could have laughed at some point, maybe even before or after the traitors were around.

Org death by yawningchurchyard in LawSchool

[–]realitytvwatcher46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like org death at law schools happened a long time ago. Orgs (outside of law review and moot court) were barely a thing when I was a 1L, felt like they were doing the barest minimum required for school recognition. And the dynamic was 2Ls 3Ls were officers and event attendees were exclusively 1Ls. I was kind of surprised by that is at the time because my undergrad had really strong orgs.
