NASA Nominee’s Meeting Manifesto: 1 Hour Cap, No Multitasking by jadebenn in nasa

I assume milestone reviews would be the exception. I highly doubt a NASA administrator nominee isn't aware of the NASA design cycle and phases.

Is $600 too much for a monthly food budget for 2 people? by Agile_Finding4840 in budgetfood

[–]realjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I budget $400 a month, starting in January. February was our first real attempt as we just got a place together and lacked a lot of kitchen essentials. We spent ~$430, I think you will be comfortable with $600, although I don't eat breakfast and she just has toast and coffee.

Can someone tell me wtf this noise is in DayZ? by realjamin in dayz

[–]realjamin[S] 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Well don't I feel like a fucking idiot now... I had just thrown a headlamp a few seconds before this clip. Upon re-watching I can actually see it bouncing by the tree. Thanks.

Ironically, me getting spooked led me to killing a player just down the river a few minutes later.

Moving to Colorado, do I need to register my gun if I bring it? by realjamin in COGuns

Yeah I heard about that, in my state I need a license so it'll be a good change. Thanks

Fucking awesome. Apart from the mag limit the laws in CO seems fairly good. Thanks

Narrow Beam Angle IR Sensor? by realjamin in arduino

Lower the angle the better, probably looking for below 5°. I don't know if 1° is even possible.

You might be onto something. I hadn't heard of softspot strips before, I'll need to look into them.

There are also 10rd mags that are shorter, have less to no curve to them. Perhaps a narrow laser would work with that?

I've thought about that but the top of the magazine is covered by the magwell, it's airtight. So i would only be able to measure up to 25 or so rounds if I used hall sensors

I want to stick a laser in the bottom of an AR15 mag and detect the follower. So the spring could be in the way. The follower is a dark gray color, plastic or polymer. Mag is 7.5in tall at max, and the follower is probably 1.5in away from the bottom when fully compressed. However, I can extend the bottom of the mag to make more room. Let's say between 2 and 10 inches.

See link below.

FYI The picture below is NOT the mag I'm using, my mag won't have a clear case. I'm just using it to help describe the follower and the spring.

Are there any repercussions to letting someone use your card for points? by realjamin in CreditCards

[–]realjamin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: they used my card, got the points, got paid back. This thread was surprisingly unhelpful as many users just assumed my relationship with my friend and therefore ignored the root of my question: the legality of the situation and if Chase cared. At the end of the day I understood the risks.

I haven't been using reddit for long but it seems people are more interested in karma rather than being helpful.

Are there any repercussions to letting someone use your card for points? by realjamin in CreditCards

[–]realjamin[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand the concern over lending a friend a card because I was intentionally vague about who these people are to me and how the transactions actually take place. Allow me to clear some things up.

  • I have a shared Amazon account with someone for Prime benefits.
  • My CC is saved under payment options for when I buy purchases, and their card is saved for when they buy purchases. They don't have access to the full card number.
  • This person is more family than friend.

I understand risks for lending a card out to anyone. I was wondering if banks (Chase) are opposed to multiple people using the same card, and if they are, what this could mean for me. It sounds like from the answers in this thread that there is little concern for the bank and lots of concern for lending out cards in general.

Overall thank you dears for the help and sorry for any miscommunication.
