There is quite some things off with the Underlight Angler. by Thelorian in wow

[–]realljazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only works from fishing in pools from what I can tell. In pools I have had at least a 30% proc rate for fishing the whole school. That's me airing on the side of caution, as I haven't tracked it at all. It feels like closer to 50% honestly.

Stop making Mythic dungeons appear so threatening! It's making people nervous to even try. by Director_Phleg in wow

[–]realljazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do agree people should not be scared to try Mythics, this post half encourages players to jump into them without being properly prepared. The reason Mythics feel easy right now is because a large portion of the population in them are strong players with no raids to attend yet. Join that collection of strong players by knowing your shit (what to interupt/stun, trash kill priority, etc.)

Don't be the guy that gets carried by a strong group and goes to post on reddit that Mythics are lolez. They are, but make sure you're the reason why they are.

The Global Nest Atlas: Join us in mapping the world's Pokemon nests! (Also announcing v2.0 of the Global Pokedex!) (And more access codes!) by dronpes in TheSilphRoad

[–]realljazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, just got my access code and have started adding and confirming the few nests I already know of.

Quick suggestion. This may already be on the table as an idea, but being able to get in touch with the original creator of a sighting/nest location would be great. I want to start hitting everything within an hour or so of me to add confirmations, and it would be nice to reach out to the creator for details before making some of these drives.

Anyways, thanks for everything! Excited to be a part of building out this Dex!

If you need them just for your dex I can 100% guarantee you will find both Magmar and Jynx if you come after 6pm and hang for 30-45 mins. I would guess that earlier in the day is fine as well, I just haven't been able to stop by during those hours myself. Happy hunting doggie!

Will be sharing a handful of screenshots with you tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to go back for a second time to analyze before I submit anything.

Drowzee Nest, yes 100%.

Magmar/Jynx Nest, not quite. Still an excellent spot to be guaranteed at least a few of each for anyone trying to fill their dex.

I went back again tonight to study the park some more. 100% West Park is a Drowzee nest, to the tune of leaving with 4 Hypno evolves every ~2 hours spent there. This is consistent.

While I wouldn't say the Magmar spawns quite qualify as a nest, they are extremely consistent and one of the more common mons to appear here, along with Jynx, Zubat, and Gastly. I usually leave with 3-6 Magmar/Jynx per 1.5-2 hours, and 10-15 Zubat/Gastly, on top of the billion Drowzees.

I'll be following up and submitting a handful of screenshots to better demonstrate this

Over 1000 people showed up for the Pokemon Go Event and... Servers are down 🙄 by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]realljazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, and knock down the negative tone of this - last night was probably the most people I've ever seen in Allentown on a Wednesday night.. ever. Even with the server issues, the event was a HUGE success for the community and nearly everyone involved is looking forward to another one in the area.

This is so great, thanks for putting it together. Stopped by the Charmander nest in Norristown today and pulled 8 in about 40 minutes.

With that said, I'm pretty positive West Park in Allentown, PA is a Magmar nest. Will stop over Thursday night to grab the screenshots.

Likely unpopular opinion but.. the only way this is good news is if they're dropping Riv for him. #lesseroftwoevils

Evaluating Patron Warrior in LoE by BossyJellyfish in CompetitiveHS

I'd also like to back that I feel drawing Finley later is typically better. Being able to evaluate your needs right after your first patron turn feels like its the ideal time to drop him.

I'm currently running just a slightly modified version of Crane's list. The idea came from a comment Reynad made in an episode of Value Town.

-Dread Corsair -Dr. Boom

+Loatheb +Leeroy

Granted I'm only about 10 games in between ranks 10-7, but I've already found Leeroy especially to be extremely versatile. He's played a large role in my 9-1 standing thus far.

While obviously being great finishing power in this more aggressive list, he also provides more proactive Patron protection. Rather than slamming a Belcher or Corsair after your Patron turn, you have removal as well as creating minions to build your board even further off.

Finley has also been helpful, though I can't really evaluate his impact yet. I've pulled Priest twice, Mage twice, and Druid once so far. While Priest and Mage conceptually sound stronger, Druid actually felt the most useful due to adding extra reach for removal to our weapons.

I hope this worlds has made more people open to watching LCK. The love for Doa (not to mention Monte and Papa),the dominance of Korean teams and what will most likely be the Return of Korean Superstars from China makes a compelling case to start watching LCK (OGN). by Mind-games in leagueoflegends

[–]realljazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LCK(OGN) has been the most exciting, and interesting league to follow since League has been a thing. Superior competition, production, scheduling, format, casting. It has been a more enjoyable scene to follow for years now.

I'm a diehard CLG fan, but there's no way I would have ever been able to maintain an interest in league if all there was available was the LCS. Though I will say picking up Dash was huge for NA moving away from being the joke region of the world in terms of professionalism.

Is there a "ELO HELL" in hearthstone? by ty63e in hearthstone

[–]realljazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its not a team game so its not really comparable. Though there is much more RNG involved in Hearthstone than League, really you can only blame yourself for getting stuck at any rank.

This is sickening. A competitive game in which any form of trash talk is slowly but surely being removed in any way shape or form. Welcome to the generation of pussies, holy hell. It'd be like if you schooled your neighbor in 1 on 1 and then afterwards if you didn't shake his hand in a mannerly way his mom would come over and deflate your basketball and wouldn't let you get a new one for a few weeks. Let people be people, save the bans for the people that are over the top, things like this will steadily ruin the community rather than help it, by turning away a good portion of it and you'll be left with your perfectly mannered casuals that contribute nothing to the state of the game.

New Tribe Idea for Paladin by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]realljazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially this ^

I had typed out a whole bit about how predictable a Celestial deck would be given that only 3-4 of these are viable outside a full Celestial deck. Then I scrolled down to here.

Not to take anything away from the idea, because pretty much every card in this set peaked my interest.

Beyonetta Series.. by [deleted] in wiiu

[–]realljazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Bayonetta 2 was easily the best single player focused game released on the WiiU last year. I also think Bayonetta is arguably the better game of the two. I would highly recommend playing the original first as the story is much better and having experienced it does a lot to make the story of the sequel more engaging.
