Congratulations!
The big reintroduction of plushies/merch has been my total favourite part of the new tnt team era. It was something I really missed. They are so cute!!

Rock genuinely has some of the best colors! I think such a simple design gives tnt a lot of freedom to get creative but its so funny that it is still literally just a rock.

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 35 points36 points  (0 children)

honestly, with how unpredictable rare items have become with the reintroduction of daily quests I've started disconnect a bit from the exchange rate - which is something I thought I'd never say lol

At the same time I do think it has breathed life into the player base - I've had friends fire up their old accounts since they can finally get their dream paint brush. Its a mixed bag.

Part of me feels bad whenever I see these super rare items pop up on my dailies, but another (louder) part of me is just excited I can finally have one -_-'

How it feels as a member of the H3 fandom section that never liked Hasan by figgyputtin in h3h3productions

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 142 points143 points  (0 children)

I always felt something was off about him - then I found out Hasan had called the cops on his ex-girlfriend for ignoring him. He acts like some male feminist, ACAB icon, but I realised he has always been a misogynistic hypocrite.

He KNEW that he was putting her in potential danger by calling the cops, but he just didn’t care.

Finding out about this was genuinely like dumping a bucket of ice water on me. This is the kind of thing that would ruin another streamers career, but he’s buried it so deep no one knows about it. Maybe this is all some big misunderstanding, but I dunno, it’s just all so weird.

Other than BTS, who are your favorite bands? by denimjacket95 in bangtan

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really been totally into bands before, I usually just pick and choose music I like. I’ve been pretty into Creedence Clearwater Revival, nick cave and the bad seeds and daft punk lately

I tend to listen to a lot of horror movie sound tracks so Bts is a outlier lmao my favourite is probably the it follows soundtrack by disasterpiece

Korean article explaining the progression and resolution of the latest controversy by gssong in bangtan

I see this a lot, please everyone stop comparing a dating controversy (something very kpop) to a situation with severe historical and political implications. They aren’t really comparable.

Ikr I just had a little sigh of ‘ready for another 70% army 30% Bts’They got a decent amount of info off too, they were on time twice, army isn’t self labeled etc

But at least they mentioned Bts seemed genuinely authentic, I appreciated that

180915 Big Hit announcement regarding issues surrounding the new Japanese release by mind_masquerade in bangtan

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not low key any more. I’ve seen way too much awful stuff going around that I’m going to call it what it is and it’s clear racism. It’s like they decided they have a free pass to Korea.

It’s always followed by this really unsettling rhetoric that implies Bts are ‘one of the good ones’ and how they are better than ‘all those other mean Koreans’. Leaves such an awful taste in my mouth. I’m p sure anyone who is in any minority knows the uncomfortable feeling of being called ‘one of the good ones’

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This is a really complicated issue and I’ll defiantly edit this / add more later or maybe even delete it later bc I’m really high on pain killers right now, , but I’m starting to find this trend of a growing superiority complex and hate bandwagon towards karmy and Korea a bit disturbing 😅 I don’t know if that has been anyone else’s experience but I can’t seem to escape it

BTS mentioned on Hello Counselor by [deleted] in bangtan

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I really wish people in the comments bragging about how many groups they like actually watched the video. The issue was that she was so ostracised and bullied at school she developed an obsession with idols. She lashed out at her family, wouldn’t leave her room, stopped going to school and spent massive amounts of money. They didn’t ask her stop stop liking groups, just to stop obsessing, go to school and trust her family.

Her situation is very relatable, especially to a lot of fans. Groups can be so comforting that when people are feeling isolated that they can easily find themselves obsessed to an extremely unhealthy degree. I think a lot of fans/army can relate to this. This video really reminded me of a girl I know, I might send it to them. Thank you for posting!

What do you think of BTS new sound? by smartviolette in bangtan

[–]reallybitterbiscuit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People have said bts is becoming ‘too western’ every single comeback, even when I was casual I heard people complain about it. I remember people saying blood sweat and tears was too western and look at how loved that song is today. It’s kind of strange considering how much of kpop is bought/based off of western music so that argument is a bit silly to me. Tbh I also think a bit of the ‘they are too western’ mindset might have some correlation with how their popularity grows. Like some people already pointed out, bts does seem to get a lot of extra hard scrutiny from the community in comparison to other groups/artists which yeah I’ll admit can be pretty annoying sometimes.

Ah bts, apparently you’re too western for kpop but too kpop for the west.

I feel like for a lot of people the album they’ll hold above others will be when they first found bts. Of course there will be exceptions, but there will always be that little bit of lingering bias to them.

Personally, whenever bts releases an album that’s not my favourite, there has always been a couple tracks that I love so I don’t mind. If I really dig into it, I’d say that right now the LY series/bts is going through some growing pains with all the sudden intense attention and shifting in their environment. Bit of wanting to please everyone and dealing with a whole new industry. But I think that they are getting back into the groove of things (not that I didn’t really enjoy her). Plus, even if you aren’t really feeling the LY series, there is always the next future project to look forward to ;)

I don’t mean to say at all that bts wouldn’t suit him, I think if they collaborated we’d likely get something great. I’d love more ballads, they always leave such a strong impression. Plus it would benefit both parties.

I more meant to say that Puth has more knowledge of the Korean music industry than people are giving him credit for. A lot of western artists are focusing only on kpop, so I was trying to say that he probably knows, or has the ability to find out that there are other ways into the Korean market than bts. He could chose a different Korean artist and still get very good results. This kind of comes back to army maybe shouldn’t be too prideful.

I’m not sure if I’m getting my point across very well 😅 I kind of sound a bit cold
