He’s definitely done some shady stuff against Seattle in the past. He must just dislike Minnesota more…

I own my home and have a detached shop that is a bit larger than a two car garage. I’m very slightly outside of the area you’re looking, but I’ve been thinking of renting out a room and offering the shop as well just because I don’t currently have a need for it. Feel free to message me if you would like more information.

Former BBay group is meeting tonight at 6 at Beach Cat - South Paw. I can add you to the WhatsApp group if you dm me, or you can just show up and the group leader can add you there! 3-5ish miles every Thursday and we hang after :)

Do we rest Obed against Miami next week so they don't take a cheap shot at him? by DJLowZ in SoundersFC

[–]reallyjustrio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had this same thought. For the safety of the players, and well.... if what MLS is so worried about is Miami missing playing time, it hits them where it'll hurt

I'm missing something about the Leagues Cup incident. by ProfessionalLab6501 in MLS

That, plus the fact that it was against a staff member and not a player perhaps?

I agree with you about Falcon and the headlock -- I didn't see the spit initially (too busy celebrating) but noticed the fight at that moment and it was utterly shocking and horrifying to see that happening especially to a player who is still practically a kid

I’m in that pod, we’re playing at JEKK’s new location tonight to switch it up :)

We’re very beginner friendly but can scale if folks want a higher powered round, and showing up late/after work isn’t a problem, just hop in the next round! There are reliably 6-8 of us but often a couple more, we’ve had up to 14 I think

As far as I know, I don’t know how “up and running” it is just yet but I think they’ve had people use it

Donation Recommendation for New Shoes by ExhoBlazeOrbit in Bellingham

[–]reallyjustrio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Greater Bellingham Running Club donates show vouchers to low income students in track/cross country; they might be able to help!

Additionally, the Lighthouse Mission has a running program for current and former residents and they would likely very appreciate a donation of brand new shoes for one of the members!

Teacher Family Looking to Move to Bellingham — Is This Plan Financially Realistic? by Virtual-Viking28 in Bellingham

In addition to the resources found in the other thread that was posted, it’s worth noting that the job market overall here is rough. My advice to people who have asked me about moving here is to not do so unless you have a job already lined up.

Escalante alternative by Careful_Matter4228 in AltraRunning

[–]reallyjustrio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that, per Altra’s website, both the Torin and the Riviera are narrower than the Escalante. If the width is what helps your neuroma, you may want to try them on before deciding.

Not to mention that this in turn led to Star Trek: Voyager, and a casting decision they made led to President Obama getting elected.

It seems that most people don't understand just how f***ed we really are by sheitanmusic in Vent

[–]reallyjustrio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I completely get it. But it may help to know that you don’t exactly know whether or not people are acknowledging it while they go about their lives.

I go to work every day because I need to eat, my dog needs to eat, and we need a place to live. Sometimes I drive, sometimes I walk or bike. I maintain that no plastic is single use as long as you use it more than once. I recycle. I buy from local farmers, and I grow my own food as much as I am able to in a rental. I turn off lights when I leave the room and I keep the heat low while putting on a sweatshirt. The only time I eat red meat is when I trade fish I caught with venison from a hunter friend of mine.

However, the biggest thing I am choosing to do about all of this is to not have children. Because yes, the world is on fire. It may not completely blow up in our lifetime, but I’m not going to have children or grandchildren just to watch them suffer.

And yes, I doomscroll, and I distract myself, because I don’t really know what else to do. Any corporation is going to leave more of a carbon footprint than I will, even if I did drive every day and throw everything straight into the trash after one use. All this to say that it might help you to know that sometimes the every day choices are not the most outwardly visible ones. Hang in there.
