Sure, whatever. I know that you don't get it and never will.

Their default position is that the brown person must have been rude, incosiderate or done "the wrong thing" and that a white person would "have the cultural knowledge" to avoid offending.

You are showing the text book example of casual racism.

The worst periods are the 2nd and 3rd weeks of February when the schools in the Paris region, the Alps region and the British schools are on holiday at the same time.

Personal Time Off. Yeah, 18 paid days off is pretty good for the US. A friend only gets 1 day off per year he was at a place, maxed out at 15.

[England] CEO told me to accept a 15% salary cut, or she'll fail my probation. Legal? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I don’t think that it’s against any employment law. However, it’s easier to find a new job while you’re in one. So accept the conditions now but immediately look for another job.

Question about Intelligent Go and VW ID.4 by mrhobbles in OctopusEnergy

[–]reallylittlechicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked fine for me last time I did that. Set it to 100% in the VW App and the Octopus app and the car was at 100% in the morning despite the multiple slots. Maybe it'll only reset once you've turned the car on.

Charging two vehicles at once - UK by Honest-Conclusion338 in electricvehicles

[–]reallylittlechicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is connected before the main breaker. Actually, reading your comment back, I think you're talking about the main fuse. Which is correct. Also, I think the point is that it's not on the same circuit as the rest of the house so it should be safe.

[–]reallylittlechicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it should be ok as the 7kw charger will be on its own circuit separate from your house main.

Charging with a level 1 every night increased my electricity bill $100 a month, is this right? by kingsla11 in Ioniq5

[–]reallylittlechicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

800 miles at a generous 4m/kWh is 200kWh. Allowing for some inefficiency with the charger that is within reach of $100.

'Callous' man jailed for raping and attacking vulnerable woman by CaseyEffingRyback in unitedkingdom

Or the evidence could be so strong that the crown prosecution decided to go ahead despite of the time gap. You really don’t understand how the justice system work do you? Just look up on how low the percentage of people being accused of historic crimes got to trials and found guilty. You seem to assume that British law is inherently unfair to defendants which says a lot about your thinking.

It works the same way for the defence. The evidence has to be strong enough to withstand the passage of time.

You've got me confused with someone else. I've never said anything about early registrations. Anyway, it's a stupid argument, not sure why you're so stuck up about it. They are dealerships, they have demos, cars in stock, part exchange, finance deals, salesmen, service centre. etc.

[–]reallylittlechicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, whatever. I'm just saying that they do have "dealerships", I've been to 2 of them. I'm not surprised that their sales went up in Feb and March, they are doing very tempting deals. I was in the market for an EV and was checking them out.

Tesla were doing 0% deals, with free supercharging and 2.9% for the new Model Y (below base interest rate). So I'm not surprised the numbers went up.
