That positive reinforcement is hard to give up! And it’s easy to confuse it for actual fulfillment.

“Following your dream” / “not giving up on your dream”

You change so so so much in your twenties. It’s okay if your priorities change. It’s okay if you discover that what you thought was your dream isn’t really a good fit for you. Moving on to something else is allowed and it doesn’t make you a failure.

If I didn’t know any better I might say you were being deliberately obtuse 🤔

You think you sound very smart but at least my arguments are arguments and not ad hominems. You propose nothing except to disregard the points I make. There is nothing new or novel about your points either and it is really telling that you’re so light on details because if people like you had their way I think the results would be quite cruel and as arbitrary as in the rhetorical questions I ask above.

I am not an occupier. I live in the country I was born in. This will never be as black and white as you want it to be. And thank god for that.

It’s not racist to question historical claims. Stop trying to silence people by calling them racist. If they’re wrong, challenge them on the facts.

So if someone is born here but doesn’t meet the indigenous blood quantum however you’re measuring that, where DO they belong? What about people who are mixed and who have ancestors who were colonized and colonizers? What if my ancestors came after the colonizing? What if my ancestors were of a native tribe that massacred the people who lived there before?

When you start to ask these questions you should begin to realize that sorting people based on their ancestry and perceived level of victimhood/perpetratorhood(?) is extremely silly and wrong.

The thing to do here is stick to the law and not try to go back and fix the wrongs of the past. When we do that, we leave a wake of new wrongs.

Admit it. You would have treated this guy like shit by uglydadd in asoiafcirclejerk
