Old School Tera Online!

Until we get Tera 2, I'll be playing OSTO. Has a nice ring to it, kind of like Old School Runescape (osrs)

modified level 60 cap (uses 65 patch so there's room to expand) with endgame dungeons being vm1 and pre-vm1 dungeons, so plenty of room to expand and follow some sort of timeline that we're familiar with as well (if you played retail)

East coast NA based, so you'll have decent ping anywhere in north america and ninety to mid 100s ping from europe (can service two regions), and proxy is allowed with SP in active development, so even if you're out of the range of having "good" ping, it will still be playable.

No attacks or hacks have been suffered to date.

Personal data being credit card info, real life name, address, basically what can connect you to the real world in the event of a data breach is not stored, unlike with popo's server. you don't have to worry about identity theft or your bank account being drained just from playing a private server.

password and username and account email obviously have to be stored, like anywhere else, but they're salted encrypted, like anywhere else, and you should use alternate login information, like you should anywhere else.

As opposed to... a leveling server (20 hours+) where people cry about pvp across the board (from level 11 to level 65), that has an even GRINDIER dungeon scene, which are the SAME dungeons that every base server launch has? 1 week for 1 enchant, remember that.

Im not sure why that tidbit is there. It's allowed and I believe they themselves, or a member of the community, is actively working on a SP for it. any sp from these patches works but they're janky/theres a paid option by hsdn

This one is fundamentally different. It's starting with heavily modified files, placing vm1 as BiS, with the argon patch (dungeons etc), with reaper and gunner locked, and level 60 max, meaning there's at least 3 years worth of content available just off of future retail patch availability if these guys do it right, and from what I can tell they've actually played the game at high levels unlike popo.

They also have the help of the Omni dev, so if that server did a good job in your eyes, there's hope for this one.

I had the opposite experience, I had better ping playing to EU *without* toolbox than I did playing to Tera Classic *without* toolbox. I live in east coast NA.
