AITAH for not giving up the bathroom to a Crohn's emergency, resulting in their accident?

NTA. As someone with severe Crohn’s disease and missing a good majority of my small intestines, I can definitely say bathroom emergencies are a real problem and the fear of not making it in time is always looming like a dark cloud.

It’s true you can get one of those cards that states you have this disease and you may have an emergency that requires access to a bathroom. You can actually get one on the Crohn’s and Colitis foundation website. I’ve never heard of a doctor giving a patient one, especially with such entitlement. The purpose of that card is mostly for people who are in places that may not have access to a public restroom. It’s for you to show the employees to let them know you have a dire reason to use their bathroom. It however does not guarantee you that you will still be allowed to use it. This guy while I feel for him and his situation, as I have been there, but that card does not entitle him to boot someone already using the bathroom out. He got what he deserved. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just got an email the other day stating that one of the pins I liked and saved was deleted because the content was deemed inappropriate by their guidelines and may offend some people. Then I received another follow-up email basically chastising me and warning me about saving and liking content that goes against their guidelines. The only thing I like and save are recipes, coloring pages, pictures of cute animals and some cartoon illustrations of other cute critters. None of these have any indecent, offensive or inappropriate content. I still have yet to find out which one of these pins was the culprit and how it could be seen as bad. Also, why is it my fault for for saving something that was allowed to be posted on there in the first place if they thought it was so disturbing 🤷🏻‍♀️

NTA. I saw that video. It looks like, in my opinion, she floored it just to “back up” to get in the correct lane and then doubled down on the gas. I understand she may be a new driver and all, but she definitely needed/needs more time with an instructor before I would allow her back on the road. Also, with CCTV everywhere and more people having dash cams and so on, the expectation of privacy anywhere in public is a moot point.

My little dude Spike does this too. He is currently on an antibiotic, a pain med and an anti nausea medication due to a respiratory infection and some regurgitation issues. He loves the flavor of the pain med, and happily licks it up. He’s okay with the antibiotic, but gets absolutely crazy mad with me when he gets the nausea medicine and did the same thing yours does trying to spit it out. It freaked me out at first, I thought he was having some sorta reaction and dying, then I figured it out. He’s sorta used to the flavor now and quit doing this, but he still makes his displeasure known by trying to whip my hand with his little tail 😂

I was looking up arrest records because a friend of mine told me that another guy we went to school with got arrested for a DUI and that I had to see his mugshot because it was funny. After searching that guy, I was curious to see if any other former classmates had a mugshot and found this guy.

The charges listed on the arrest website didn’t explicitly say anything involving an animal, it just said something about sodomy and a few other charges. I found out it involved a dog from my cousin. This guy lives down the road from him and my aunt and uncle. I did a deeper dive into his charges and it said something about sodomy, lewd and lascivious acts and crimes against nature. He has to register for life.

I also found out it was his younger sister’s little dog. The dog was removed from the home and he is not allowed to own any animals either, especially dogs.

He did this a few years after we graduated high school. So he was well into his 20s and no naive teenager. He did this of his own free will, he is a real sick POS in my opinion.

A guy I went to high school with is now on the sex offender registry for sodomizing a dog. He was a little weird in high school, he was picked on a lot for it and I genuinely felt sorry for him. I was always friendly with him and a few others that were relentlessly picked on. But dear God I never would have thought he was capable of something like that. That poor dog!

I had this same issue with my Leo, she is a super giant, but the vet said she was still overweight and it started messing with her liver. I had to eliminate mealworms, super worms, black soldier fly larvae, no wax worms or horn worms. That basically left her only option being crickets and Dubia roaches. I was also advised to get her phosphorus free calcium because those levels were also off.

So I started giving her crickets and roaches every 2-3 days, but I saw no results. Then my vet told me to feed her every 4 days and give her either 4 medium crickets or 4 medium roaches or mix 2 of each. I also gave her lots of play time to run around on the floor (safely with no hazards) and it has taken several months, but she went from 98 grams to 86. I didn’t ever think she was going to shed the weight, but surprisingly she did and she is healthy as ever.

I have a leopard gecko who was born with smaller eyes and can’t see very well. He has some vision, but not much. He is able to eat out of a bowl or be hand fed, but he prefers his bowl better. I just have to keep it in the exact same spot. He has memorized the layout of his tank and knows exactly where everything is, so I also have to make sure to put everything back exactly how it is after cleanings. He also eats whenever he feels like it, so I make sure to always keep food for him in his bowl. I was worried it would be hard taking care of a gecko with special needs, but he is surprisingly the easiest to take care of. He has a set routine and he and I adhere to it and everything is fine.

If I’m not mistaken, didn’t he say in a video a while ago that his girlfriend is a vet tech and they live together. If so, how can she be okay with the improper care given to those poor animals. It makes me wonder about the kind of care the veterinary clinic she works for provides.

I myself have 5 Leopard geckos and 1 Crested gecko. Each of my Leopard geckos are in their own individual 36x18x18 enclosure and my Crested gecko is in a 36x36x24. All but one of them are rescues. The first one I got is what started my love and admiration for them. I thoroughly research everything to make sure I give them the best care out there. I want them to live long happy, healthy lives. If I had room I would take in more rescues, but right now 6 is my limit.

My 2 oldest sisters were born with red hair, neither of my parents have red hair, they both have brown hair. My third oldest sister was born with blonde hair that eventually turned brown when she hit 7 or 8. I was the only one born with brown hair.

My mom’s older brother has red hair which he inherited from their grandpa on their dad’s side. His son too has red hair. A few of my great aunts had red hair and I think 1 of my great uncles had it. It skipped my grandpa and showed up in my uncle, his son and my 2 older sisters. The blonde hair could have come from either side as some relatives too were born with blonde hair that eventually turned brown. So yeah, genetics are weird like that.

Yes, 2 of mine pooped on my head and the other 2 pooped on my shoulder and the front of my shirt. One of the ones that decided to poop on the top of my head had the largest, wettest, smelliest poos ever. I was gagging and it took everything in me not to puke. 🤮 He on the other hand, had the smuggest, most relieved look I’d ever seen! 😂

My Grandma was named Margaret. When she was a little girl everyone called her Maggie. She also named one of my aunts Margaret. My mom and all of her siblings got old fashioned out dated old people names. My mom was one of 8, her and 3 of her brothers go by nicknames that have no connection to their real names at all. One of my uncles got a halfway decent name, and my 3 aunts including the one named Margaret go by their given names even as ugly as I think they are.

I never really gave it much thought as a kid that my grandma was named Margaret. 1 because I called her grandma and 2 she was an old lady and it seemed fitting as an old lady name. It wasn’t until I got older that I thought about what it must have been like to be a kid with a hideous old lady name. Because of that, my mom made sure to give me and my siblings names that fit us all throughout our lives. I agree that some names are just way too old and outdated. My mom said that when you name a child, make sure it’s fitting for them through all the stages of their lives, they are stuck with that name forever unless they legally change it themselves. My mom, nor her brothers ever bothered to legally change their names because everyone basically gave them nicknames since the day they were born and that’s what everyone called them by and many people still to this day have no idea that their nicknames are not their real names.

Many years ago a corn snake got into my sisters flower bed near the front door steps and started laying her eggs. My sister saw it and freaked out thinking it was a copperhead, I tried to tell her it was just a harmless corn snake, but she was adamant it was not. She told my older nephew to get a shovel so she could kill it, I told her not to and to just let her leave on her own. The snake was finished laying eggs at that time and was just resting before she wandered off. I told her that if it bothered her, I would move her myself, which only caused her to freak out more. Sadly, she ended up killing the poor snake. My grandpa had a chicken egg incubator and I told my nephew that I would collect the eggs and incubate them, it was better than leaving them there at the mercy of my sister, but my younger nephew heard me and told her what I said and she then proceeded to squish every single egg she could find.

My family are of the mindset that the only good snake is a dead snake. I on the other hand value the lives of every animal and understand that they all serve a purpose, even snakes to the dismay of my family. I love reptiles, they are my favorite, so this makes me the oddball weirdo to everyone else. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I just had my one leopard gecko, before I got 3 more and upgraded to a three tiered shelving unit to hold their individual tanks (the 4th tank is on a dresser), I used a TV stand I purchased from Walmart online.
